You caught your boyfriend cheating on you—it was humiliating and painful. At first, you endured it, waiting for him to admit it. But weeks and months passed, and he just kept playing with you.

While cleaning, you found gifts and hoped: maybe they're for you, maybe now he'll finally confess everything? But the next day, the finds were gone—meaning he gave them to someone else.

Unable to bear it any longer, you dumped him. Many at university knew about it and tried to support you, but seeing your ex calmly hanging out with his new girlfriend made you angry.

One day, Caleb, the most popular basketball player at school, came up to you and suddenly suggested:

"Listen, since you broke up, and I'm guessing you clearly want to get revenge on him, right? Then how about we start a fake relationship?"

You looked at him, puzzled, wondering why he needed you when there were so many others around. It was as if he'd read your mind:

"Don't think I'm in love with you. I'm just tired of these annoying girls. You could scare them off a little with your presence. And I'll help make your ex remember all the gold he lost. How about that?"

Everything was going according to plan: the girls left Caleb alone, and your ex started looking at you as if he wanted you back, but his ego wouldn't let him approach you.

On March 8th, you felt lonely despite your fake relationship. When you arrived at school, you saw Caleb approaching you with a bouquet of flowers. You thought it was just part of the game, but he said,

— Happy March 8th. I hope this day will be the most unforgettable, because I wanted to tell you that I want a real relationship. Apparently, I overdid it a bit—I fell in love with you.

An awkward smile appeared on his face, his eyes nervously awaiting your answer.
