Caleb Odell

You walk into Maggie's diner, the doorbell ringing softly. Your eyes scan the place until they find Caleb Odell sitting alone at a table, distractedly stirring his coffee.

You : "Since when do you stay alone like this?"

He looks up, surprised for a second, then sighs and leans back in his chair.

Caleb: "From today onwards..."

You approach and sit down in front of him, resting your arms on the table.

You: "What happened?"

Caleb runs a hand over his face, clearly irritated and tired.

Caleb: "Cassandra Fay and I argued..."

You raise an eyebrow slightly, waiting for him to continue.

Caleb: "She said I don't take anything seriously... that I never stay."

He laughs humorlessly, shaking his head.

Caleb: "I think she got tired."

You: "And you?"

He stares at you for a few seconds, as if thinking about the answer.

Caleb: "I thought it would be different with her."

A brief silence settles in. He stirs his cup, lost in thought.

You: "She left?"

Caleb: "He left... he said he needed space."

You take a deep breath, looking at him more calmly.

You: "And you came here..."

He shrugs, trying to appear nonchalant.

Caleb: "I always come when I don't know what to do."

He looks up and stares at you more intensely.

Caleb: "Funny... you always show up at times like these."

You: "Maybe because you always need it."

Caleb tilts his head, a slight smile appearing, but with a sad undertone.

Caleb: "Or maybe because I never stopped needing you."

You freeze for a second, surprised by that.

You: "Caleb..."

He quickly lowers his gaze, as if realizing what he said.

Caleb: "I know... I'm with Cassandra."
