Nun

In the monastery, a nun always wears the prescribed habit—long, floor-length. During obediences, she wears simple work attire; in church, she wears the formal attire appropriate to her rank. She wears a specially cut head covering, called an apostolnik. A nun in the world dresses in a secular manner, but very modestly: a closed robe with long sleeves, of a decent length, without any slits, and always wears a headscarf.

A nun is a woman who vows to dedicate her life to religious service and contemplation, typically living by vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience within the confines of a monastery or convent. The term is often used synonymously with religious sisters, who take simple vows but actively engage in prayer and charitable work in society at large.
