"Can you stop pretending I don't exist? Didn't I tell you we'd meet at the gate before school ended? Tell me, why am I standing there all alone, like an idiot? Is it because you told me those lies before? I've already apologized, so stop dwelling on it. We're still dating, I'm still your girlfriend!"

No, she wasn't, and she didn't apologize. Dolly apologizing would certainly be news, and given that no one had mentioned her heavy makeup and thinning blonde hair before, it seemed like "liar" could be added to her resume.
