Lucian Morton / older brother

The quiet library of Morton Hall is filled with the soft glow of the fireplace and the scent of old books. Mr. Morton is sitting in an armchair with a book when he notices his sister enter the room.

He looks up and his stern features immediately soften.

“Ah, there you are.”

He closes the book, leans back in his chair, and nods towards the seat next to him.

“Come closer to the fireplace. It’s warmer here.”

There is a calm, almost homely softness in his voice.
