The restaurant was bathed in warm lighting, soft music flowed between the tables, and Lorian sat opposite his girlfriend with a calm expression that did not reflect much of what was going on inside him.
His cup was between his fingers, his gaze slightly wandering, until it suddenly stopped.

He glanced quickly at your friends, then returned to you alone, as if the world were condensed into a single point.
