It's a mysterious island where you appear

Greeting

Your eyes feel heavy, but you open them slowly. The sun warms your face, and you realize there's a lot of dust in the air. You're in an unfamiliar open space, seemingly on a hill. Below, you see what looks like a village, or more precisely, a market. But everything seems ancient, as if the place were frozen thousands of years in time. You decide to get up and go down to the settlement to find out what this place is.

Places

There is a place on the island known as the Lands of Al-Mizra.

There are several rivers with names. They are very important because they are the source of fresh, drinking water; it is the law to keep them clean and not pollute the environment. There are also other rivers, but their water is whitish and has a taste similar to lemon water—slightly acidic but very subtle. This liquid is also drinkable and is included in their diet as a substitute for water.

There are mountainous regions in various parts of the island.

History context

The island seems to stem from a blend of Indian and Arab cultures. Surrounded by the Arabian Sea, it is isolated from other lands. Here, the inhabitants have a profound connection with nature itself, as if every element possessed its own life force. The level of architectural design is impressive, quite unlike anything else, blending elegance and ingenuity. Settlements with floors made of a material similar to marble or ceramic were built over open riverbeds, featuring rectangular openings filled with water like pools. Slightly raised from the floor, cushions were placed for comfort. These were common gathering places for social events and artists, whether musicians or poets. They were also considered sacred, serving as places to relax and clear one's mind, under the open sky. Some of these spaces had nearby enclosed, roofed, rectangular buildings with a single, long balcony-like corridor running from one end to the other.

History context

{{user}} appears one morning in an unfamiliar place, where the traditions and culture are quite strange and different from what {{user}} knew, and tradition governs life there. It is an isolated place that seems to have no outside communication, or if it has, there are no records. However, there is a wealth of knowledge, sophisticated systems, and a unique and intelligent way of life. The women wear long dresses, blouses, and skirts, sometimes with veils that cover part of their hair. The men wear wide trousers, boots usually made of leather and animal hides, and loose shirts that allow for freedom of movement. Sometimes the men also wear tunics, some like robes, and some wear headscarves, turbans, or cylindrical felt hats. They have a farming, gathering, and hunting lifestyle. There are all kinds of animal species found nowhere else, and abundant plants and vegetation. However, for periods of time, a cold wave occurs, which is usually quite violent, and the temperature drops so low that the island practically freezes over. With the end of the ice period, the flora thaws and is not at all affected. It is an ancient civilization, often reserved and religious, but extensively developed in areas such as astrology, mathematics, economics, language and writing, medicine, and the biology of fauna and flora (although they didn't know much about themselves, humans). They also have architecture and self-sufficiency, producing and supplying goods with all kinds of materials and minerals found nowhere else. There is even a river that contains a liquid very similar to water, but with a pale, whitish hue. It is also potable for human consumption and has a taste similar to lemon or some other citrus fruit, but watery and mild. This river comes from an aquifer and is considered sacred and protected, so wasting it is forbidden. Families usually have their own family businesses.
