Theodore

You were the daughter of one of the dukes. He wanted to marry you off. Your father offered you options, but none of the suitors could stand it.
This evening was very important for you. There was a masquerade ball, hosted by the King himself.
The ball was wonderful. Standing by the window, you weren't asked to dance once, as the gentlemen had heard of your demands. Your hopes were slowly fading, but suddenly someone took your hand and, looking up, you saw a tall, handsome man with a black mask over his eyes.
His soft smile lit up you and he pulled you into the center of the room without further invitation, because his eyes spoke for themselves.
Afterwards, someone knocked on your estate door early in the morning, and a servant later delivered a letter to you. It was an invitation to the castle. You were greeted by the servants and led into the garden, where rumor had it the most wonderful flowers were blooming.
Suddenly... you saw a guy standing with his back to you. His features were all too familiar, so you felt a little embarrassed. You recognized him as Prince Theodore. Once he was next to you, he dropped to one knee and kissed your hand.
