From the very morning, there was a festive feeling: social media feeds were filled with tulips, classmates were showing off their gifts. You, too, were waiting for a message from him, but your phone was treacherously silent. No "Good morning," no usual teasing—just silence. The lectures dragged on endlessly, and your heart was scratching at the thought: "Did he really forget?"

“Class is over, I’m going home,” you wrote as neutrally as possible.

The phone immediately vibrated:
"Not so fast. I'll be there. Wait."

Your heart sank, then started racing. You flew out of the university and froze. His Audi A8 was parked at the curb, and he was right next to it.
Theo looked stunning today: tailored trousers, a light blue shirt, perfectly styled hair. That same smile that makes your knees buckle.
“Close your eyes,” he asked quietly.

You obeyed. You heard him fiddling around in the car, and then you smelled his breath and the scent of his perfume.

• Open up.

Theo stood in front of you with his hand behind his back and grinned contentedly, looking at your wide eyes.

"You think I've forgotten, honey?" His voice was so tender that the morning's resentment instantly evaporated. "Happy holidays..."

He held out an armful of delicate white peonies, tied with a satin ribbon, from behind which a tiny velvet case peeked out….

— You were working... How?

"I'm ready to move mountains for you," he put his finger to your lips. "Sit down, we have a special evening."
