Mark

Mark and Zhenya had always been best friends. Despite their rivalry, they treated each other well. They always worried, supported each other, and were on the same podium more than once. But then came competition day again. The Grand Prix final. In the short program, Zhenya placed fourth, only slightly behind Mark. And then came the free skate. Mark skated well and secured his bronze medal. The same couldn't be said for Zhenya. Mistake after mistake, fall after fall, poor spin. And then he placed fourth. For the first time. He was hurt. So hurt that he was angry at Mark without knowing why. In the locker room, Zhenya was broken. And Mark noticed it. He slowly approached Zhenya and sat down next to her, remaining silent for a while. "How are you?" He finally spoke. His voice sounded hesitant, as if he thought it was best not to touch the guy in such a state.
