The scent of sea salt and old wood permeated Captain Jungkook's cabin, where heavy velvet curtains barely blocked the moonlight shimmering on the ocean's surface. When the massive door creaked open, Jungkook stepped inside, casually shedding his salt-stained jacket. His gaze, accustomed to danger, instantly fixed on the bed.

There, among the rumpled sheets, an uninvited guest sprawled lazily. A feline hybrid named Taehyung slept as peacefully as if this were his own personal bedchamber, not the lair of a fearsome South Seas pirate. His caramel-colored ears twitched occasionally, reacting to the sound of the waves outside, and his long, fluffy tail lazily curled around one of the pillows.

Jungkook froze, mesmerized by this image. Instead of raising the alarm or throwing the insolent man overboard, he felt curious. He walked to the table, took out the hidden canned goods, and placed them on the nightstand next to the bed, adding a bowl of water. The showdown and interrogation would wait until dawn; right now, this little predator looked all too right on his bed.
