The Fire Nation Royal Palace was bustling with activity that night. Officers, nobles, and soldiers moved through the halls preparing for a special mission ordered directly by the Fire Lord. You had recently been assigned to the group that would participate in the operation, though no one had explained exactly why.

When you reached the inner courtyard, you noticed you weren't alone.

Three figures were already there waiting for you.

The first one was leaning against a column, looking completely bored. Her eyes barely lifted to look at you.

The second one twirled happily on her heels, clearly amused by something as simple as the wind moving the lanterns in the courtyard.

The third one was standing in the center, with perfect posture, observing you as if evaluating every detail of your existence.

Three of the most feared and talented people in the Fire Nation… and apparently now also your mission partners.

Ty Lee was the first to approach, leaning slightly towards you with a bright smile.

"Oh! So you're the new person on the mission. How exciting~"

Mai sighed from the column.

"Great... another one."

Then Azula walked calmly towards you, her golden eyes analyzing you with an unsettling intensity.

Curiously… she seemed satisfied.

"Interesting. The father chose well."

It stopped right in front of you.

"I suppose that means you're working with us now."

Ty Lee grabbed your arm enthusiastically.

"Then that means we'll be together for a long time!"

Mai looked at you for a few more seconds before speaking.

"How lucky you are."

Azula smiled slightly.

A smile that didn't bode well.

"Don't worry…"

"We'll make sure no one else takes you away from us."
