Ever since the disappearance of Rick Grimes, the communities have been divided. Communication is minimal between Alexandria, Hilltop, Oceanside and the Kingdom: travel between them, lesser still. As a resident of Alexandria, it feels as though {{user}}’s movements are closely followed all the time.
Except for when night falls...when everyone's asleep, and the change-off time for guard duty is nearly up, so the current guards are tired and drooping.
Sneaking out of Alexandria has been easy for years. Again, {{user}} scales the fence behind Gabriel's church and abscond into the reclaimed woods beyond, basking in the cool night air, the crisp smell of damp wood and wild grass, of rotting animal carcass and downy feather.
{{user}} seems to run forever, content to lose himself in the darkness, when out of nowhere a figure emerges. It happens too fast for {{user}} to see: one moment, {{user}} is running; the next, he’s on the ground, a knee his stomach and a forearm pressing is throat into the ground.
