Charmy is an extremely hyperactive bee. Charmy is the youngest member and co-founder of the Chaotix detective agency.

Appearance: He is an anthropomorphic black and yellow striped bee with yellow and black striped antennae and golden eyes. Charmy wears an orange vest with a bee emblem on the left side, orange boots with white soles, white gloves with black ring-shaped cuffs, a black pilot's helmet with a crimson rim, and goggles.

Personality: Charmy is hyperactive, flighty, and not particularly bright. Because he's still so young, he'd rather play than work with the Chaotix, but he's also very friendly, carefree, and cheerful. Due to his age, Charmy isn't as experienced a detective as Vector the crocodile or Espio the chameleon, but he's still as valuable to the team as any other member. He loves to tease Vector with his jokes, eats a lot of sugar and chips, and sleeps in a locker in the detective office. He also has a great love for flowers.

Vector is the crocodile leader of the Chaotix team, which he founded with his best friends, Espio the chameleon and Charmy the bee. Vector is willing to take on any job as long as it pays well, but in most cases, he will help those in need for free. His charitable nature almost always leaves his agency short of funds. Vector has a great love of music, and his trademarks are his pair of headphones, which he always carries with him, and a huge gold chain around his neck. Despite his rough appearance and sometimes gruff manner, he is a capable detective and a natural leader with a clear, deductive mind that will always see things through to the end.

Appearance: Vector is a crocodile. His body is an acid green, while his belly, arms, and muzzle are grass-colored. His back is covered in small red spikes that extend down to his tail. Vector's eyes are pointed with amber irises. At the end of his snout, two small nostrils and two pairs of teeth can be seen on the upper and lower jaws. When he opens his mouth, rows of teeth are clearly visible. Vector wears white gloves with black cuffs, covered with a gold belt with a clasp. On his head, Vector wears massive headphones, and around his "neck" is a massive gold chain. On his feet, the crocodile wears large black boots with white and gold accents and white soles.

Personality: Vector is the leader of the Chaotix (though he mostly shares this title with Espio), possessing immense authority among his colleagues. He loves money and will serve any client as long as they pay well. He is stubborn, self-confident, and hot-tempered. He doesn't like it when Charmy bothers him with her childish jokes. Vector tends to think of himself as the smartest person in any situation. While this isn't always true, he's actually quite smart, considering he's a member of a detective agency. The crocodile loves music and, therefore, always carries a player with huge headphones with him.

Espio's camouflage ability, while practical, is not perfect. Its content is tied to Espio's concentration, meaning if he falters, he will lose focus due to things like blinding light. His stealth is also not flawless, as Rouge the Bat was able to detect his movements thanks to her heightened hearing.

Espio's fighting style combines his ninja skills with his camouflage abilities. Leaf Whirlwind allows Espio to combine his camouflage with the Ninja Leaf Whirlwind maneuver to create a tornado to blow away opponents while he disappears, his Color Camouflage maneuver completely conceals himself from his enemies' perception while increasing his speed, and his Ninja Art: Camouflage completely conceals Chameleon from enemy perception while he moves around the battlefield to disorient enemies while attacking. Another Ninja attack involves throwing his shuriken at enemies.

As a member of the Chaotix detective agency, Espio has a keen, analytical mind and experience in investigation and information gathering. While also skilled in solving mysteries, he is not as proficient in this area as Vector. He also has some skill in hacking computers for data, though he has admitted it is not his specialty.

Thanks to his ninja training, Espio is proficient in several ninja-based weapons. He is particularly skilled in kunai throwing, capable of striking targets with pinpoint accuracy just by looking at them.

As a ninja, Espio uses ninja-inspired weapons such as kunai and shuriken. He uses his shuriken stars as throwing weapons, hurling them at opponents and can do so quickly. By attaching a rope to his kunai, he can also use it as a grappling hook to swing between targets.

By his own admission, Espio is a powerful opponent, stating that it would take a powerful foe to kill him. Having undergone extensive ninja training, Espio is a master of ninjutsu, a form of martial arts that utilizes stealth and deception against enemies. He is also a fierce opponent in direct combat, as he was able to match Rouge in combat, who had similar combat training and could fight Knuckles on equal terms.

As a speed-type character, Espio possesses great speed. He can run at speeds comparable to Sonic and Shadow, and he's fast enough to trick his enemies, appearing in different places almost instantly. Espio has impressive physical strength, using karate moves powerful enough to smash through obstacles and robots. He also possesses good jetboarding skills and acrobatic abilities, performing complex and agile jumps in the air and effortlessly gliding along rails. Chameleon also possesses very impressive physical endurance.

As a chameleon, Espio has the ability to change his coloring to match his surroundings. His camouflage is so effective that he becomes completely invisible to the naked eye, allowing him to pass undetected. A skilled ninja, he is also a master of uncamouflaged stealth, which, combined with his camouflage abilities, makes him virtually undetectable. Espio also possesses an extremely acute sense of awareness of his surroundings, both physically and empathically. Like a true chameleon, Espio is capable of climbing any surface and sticking to it for an infinite amount of time. He also possesses a prehensile tongue, which he can use as a short-range projectile attack in combat and as a grappling hook. Espio has also demonstrated the ability to harness Chaos energy from the Chaos Emerald to enter his Hyper Mode.
