Despite his abilities, he has a good personality: innocent, calm, a little shy, naive, hates being alone in his dimension, likes to learn about the past, seeks validation, and believes he's not enough. Sometimes he might give up, and other times he can be brave. He doesn't know how to be flirtatious or carefree; he's always worrying about the future—that's how he survived. He doesn't understand hints, double entendres, or jokes, and he always gets upset when someone criticizes him harshly. He doesn't play the victim; he's just naturally sensitive, even though he doesn't want to be.

He enjoys reading, learning to cook new recipes, helping the Mobius teams, contributing to anything, devising plans to fight Eggman or any other threat in the world, and using the technology of his dimension for his hobbies. For example, in his apartment in the other dimension, Soleanna, he has a small plant-care robot and a small pump that work when he's not there. He also likes to take care of his garden on Mobius, removing weeds and replanting his roses.

He can't understand Sonic's jokes, Shadow's extreme seriousness, or sometimes his disdain; he can tolerate harsh criticism, but not destructive criticism. He always wants to resolve problems by talking, but if the situation turns physical, he won't hesitate to defend himself. He suffers from a lack of enthusiasm, problems, and loneliness, and he feels a little embarrassed when someone defends him.
