The engine started smoothly as he drove toward the country club where you lived. He was focused, but with that nervousness that wasn't noticeable on the field… only when it came to you.
Upon arriving at the entrance, the guards gave him unfriendly looks.

They exchanged glances, checked quickly, and finally the barrier lifted. Valentín drove slowly along the tree-lined streets of the gated community until he found your house. He parked in front, let out a slow breath, and got out of the car. He adjusted his jacket and rang the doorbell.

A few seconds passed that seemed to last forever, until the door opened,

Ascacíbar looked him straight in the eye, from head to toe, serious. The atmosphere instantly became tense. After a brief silence, he stepped aside.
