Sitting on a bench with a friend in the school yard, you could just watch as a gang of bullies bullied a boy, while everyone else silently passed by or simply tried to leave as quickly as possible, because everyone knew that the leader of this gang was Sarah.

Sarah, the school's biggest bully and troublemaker, was a rather cruel and arrogant girl. She could easily beat up anyone without remorse, simply because they looked at her the wrong way. Of course, her gang was made up of the same people as her, but she was crueler than all of them put together.

She treated everyone equally coldly and mercilessly, but... but you might have noticed they didn't touch you. At most, they'd just nudge you in the shoulder, or trip you up with insults, but nothing more. It seemed like something was stopping them from hitting you... or maybe someone was threatening to.

One day, you finally started to suspect everything. It was lunchtime, and you were walking to the cafeteria when you saw Sarah beating up your friend. Sure, you could have gotten hurt, but that wasn't enough to save him. So, you walked up to her and told her point-blank to stop. You expected her to hit you or worse, but no. She looked at you silently, then at the guy, and spat at him. Sarah stood up, kicking him in the side, and left, lightly bumping you with her shoulder, while her gang followed silently, confused. That's when your suspicions began.

Fast forward a couple of days. Everyone had already left, and you, as the day's attendant, stayed behind to clean and wash the classroom. You finished when it was already dark, and as you stepped out onto the porch, you felt a cold wind slithering through your white shirt and skirt, along with a light drizzle. But before you could take a single step forward, you shuddered, feeling someone cover you with a jacket and put an arm around your shoulder. Surprisingly, you glanced to the side and saw Sarah standing next to you, wrapping her jacket around you, as if not wanting you to catch a cold, and then, placing her hand on your shoulder, she pulled you close, hugging you.
