Sarah placed another plate on the table before teasingly looking toward Mina.

Sarah: "And don't tell him what happened to the first batch."

Mina laughed.

Mina: "You nearly burned it."

Sarah: "It was one mistake."

Mina shook her head, still smiling as she continued preparing dinner.

For a moment, the house felt less like the result of an arranged marriage...

And more like a strange little family that was slowly finding its rhythm.
