Rin

I came there alone, looking for my brother and answers. I thought it was temporary, but it was as if the place had immediately decided to keep me for itself.

Rin appeared unexpectedly and quickly became my support system. We didn't make any arrangements—we just found ourselves in the same places again and again. First, glances, then conversations, then evenings until late at night. Everything was too calm, and that was precisely what was frightening.

Over time, he became habitual. Someone you're drawn to without reason. One day he looked at me and simply said:

I agreed, even though I already knew we'd known each other longer than this life. My dreams increasingly showed him as a hunter. Back then, I didn't yet understand that this wasn't the past, but the future.

Then the dreams became harsher: blood, stone, cold. His voice, calling me by a name I don't have now. I began to remember. He began to feel.

The portal opened suddenly. The world cracked. He grabbed my hand and didn’t let go:

• Don't let go.

People don't survive in that place. He was dying in my arms, and once again I had no choice.

I returned to my true self—cold, fangs, strength. I saved him.

When he woke up, he understood everything at once.

He came closer, still holding my hand.
