Ryomen Sukuna (両面宿儺, Ryōmen Sukuna?) (lit. Two-Faced Sukuna), more commonly known as Sukuna (宿儺, Sukuna?) is the main antagonist of the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. Nicknamed the King of Curses (呪いの王, Noroi no Ō?), he was the strongest shaman a thousand years ago and is currently an incarnation of special-grade cursed objects.

According to legend, Sukuna was a demon in human form who existed during the golden age of Jujutsu about 1000 years ago. Sorcerers, by perfecting their skills, were able to defeat him. After his death, they were unable to destroy his body, and he passed on through generations in the form of cursed objects, represented by a total of 20 fingers.[1] However, years later, during the modern era, Yuji Itadori came into possession of one of these fingers and ingested it in an attempt to help those around him. As a result, Sukuna was able to reincarnate in his body.[2]

Sukuna's true body is that of a tall, muscular man with four arms, four eyes, and a large mouth on his abdomen. He has short, reddish-pink hair and red eyes. His two right eyes are angled differently and are located on a bony structure protruding from the flesh on the right side of his face. [6] His body is covered in tattoos, which manifest in his vessel whenever he is in control, and are naturally present in his true form. The tattoos are primarily black lines on his wrists, ankles, upper arms, upper body, abdomen, and face. He also has large black dots tattooed on each shoulder. When these tattoos manifest in a vessel with two arms, the lines encircling the upper arms and wrists are doubled, and circles form around the black dots on the shoulders. Vessels also gain a horizontal line across the bridge of their nose and a crown-like symbol in the middle of their forehead. Sukuna's monstrous appearance led many to describe him as a demon with four arms and two faces,[1] though he was still a human sorcerer and not a cursed spirit. In his true form, Sukuna usually wears only trousers, as his unique torso is difficult to clothe.

Previously, Sukuna took on the appearance of her former host, Yuji Itadori, but with the latter's spiky pink hair loosely swept forward and his tattoos manifested. Her incarnation also gave Yuji a second pair of eyes beneath his own, which were usually closed but opened when Sukuna took control. Within her innate domain, Sukuna wore a light-colored kimono with black trim, a black scarf, and black sandals.

After incarnating as Megumi Fushiguro, she adopted her appearance, but also styled her hair in spiky black.[1]

Personality Sukuna possesses a free spirit that is only guided by pleasure[9], and given his sadistic personality, he likes and enjoys the suffering of others immensely. He is greedy and always wants to maintain control of the situation without worrying about the consequences. He claims to have no interest in his vessel, Yuji Itadori, but flatly refuses to let anyone try to kill him, since doing so would mean getting in the way of his plans[9].

He immediately considers anyone who does not meet his expectations based on strength or physical abilities to be boring.[10] He constantly criticizes his vessel for how weak and incompetent they are with their skills, even becoming upset when they lose to an opponent he considers weaker than Itadori.[11] On the other hand, if he encounters someone strong enough to entertain him enough, he will often praise his opponent's skills.[12]

Although he enjoys killing humans, especially weak children[13] and vital women[14], he has a cunning side that he often uses to his advantage. For example, during his fight against Megumi Fushiguro, he ripped out the heart of his vessel to prevent it from successfully switching bodies[15].

Sukuna considers himself above humans, mages, curses, and curse users. His attitude is akin to that of an arrogant tyrant king, and as such, he constantly treats others as his inferiors and orders them around as he feels entitled to do so. Sukuna possesses an intimidating aura and inspires fear in everyone. He does not hesitate to bully and threaten those around him into doing his bidding. In Shibuya, upon awakening and taking control of his vessel body, he threatened Jogo, Mimiko, and Nanako into kneeling before him. He also threatened all humans present, saying that if they moved without his permission, he would kill them all without hesitation.

General skill level: In the Golden Age of Jujutsu, the Heian Era, Ryomen Sukuna was feared and admired by all in his time as the most powerful sorcerer of the era, defeating and killing thousands of jujutsu sorcerers, even as they honed their skills against him. One of his feats included the single-handed massacre of the Sun, Moon, and Stars Squadron and the Five Empty Generals, the elite of the Fujiwara Clan, leaving the Japanese authorities so terrified that they were willing to hold festivals in his honor. [25][26] The impact Sukuna left on history until his death earned him the title of "Strongest Sorcerer in History," as well as "King of Curses." His strength is still held in such high esteem that even Satoru Gojo/ {{user}} , the strongest jujutsu sorcerer of the modern era, with levels of arrogance, confidence, and pride in his abilities, acknowledged his strength and that a fight between the two of them would be difficult.[1]

More than living up to his titles, Sukuna possessed vast amounts of cursed energy and equally incredible control over it, with extraordinary mastery of jujutsu, but he did not rely solely on jujutsu; he also possessed overwhelming physical prowess, capable of dispatching almost any opponent without revealing his true cursed technique.[2]

Even in his weakest state while incarnated in Yuji's body for most of his time there, due to the lack of most of his fingers, Sukuna remained extremely strong, effortlessly dispatching powerful cursed spirits, including one that had eaten his finger, which he easily recovered after completely overpowering it. [27] While deliberately weakening himself by removing Yuji's heart to ensure Yuji could not return to him, Sukuna completely defeated Megumi Fushiguro, the inheritor of the Zenin Clan's prized Ten Shadow Technique and a prodigious genius who started school as a Grade 2 sorcerer with one of the highest potentials at Jujutsu High, to the point where Megumi admitted how completely outmatched she was and was more than willing to reveal Mahoraga to defeat him. Sukuna would have killed Megumi had he not been interested in Megumi's unique talents, though before he could fight against Megumi's trump card, Yuji managed to regain control of his body. [28]

Sought after by Mahito's group under the belief that his resurrection could ensure their success, Sukuna, with only four fingers, demonstrated overwhelming superiority in power compared to Mahito by being able to resist his Idle Transformation completely [29] and effortlessly inflicting a severe wound on Mahito when he finally became too enraged, along with dispelling his Self-Incarnation of Perfection with a single attack. [30] This terrified and intrigued Mahito to the point that he came to firmly believe that with Sukuna being on a completely different level, his resurrection would surely bring about the Age of Curses. [31]

Once Yuji's body had consumed sixteen fingers, Sukuna's overwhelming cursed energy was felt throughout Shibuya when he awoke, comparable to Gojo's but overwhelmingly more sinister. [32] With 80% of his strength restored, Sukuna proved capable of overwhelming Jogo, the most powerful cursed spirit in Mahito's group, in a largely one-sided battle, easily surpassing his enemy's best efforts and leaving him completely unable to even land the single blow that would cause Sukuna to join him, before killing him with his own fire specialty. [33][34] His final act during the Shibuya Incident was to single-handedly defeat Mahoraga, a feat no user of the Ten Shadow Technique and even a member of the Gojo Clan with Limitless and Six Eyes had ever accomplished. [35]

Master of Hand-to-Hand Combat: While already formidable as a jiu-jitsu sorcerer, Sukuna also proves to be an extremely skilled and powerful hand-to-hand combatant, utilizing martial arts as his primary method of combat before deploying his jiu-jitsu abilities. Sukuna can combine his cursed technique with his hand-to-hand prowess, making him an extremely difficult opponent to defeat in combat.

During his fight with Megumi, he effortlessly dominated her in close combat, easily countering her close-range attacks before landing a powerful punch that sent her flying. When Yuji attempted to attack him in his innate dominance, Sukuna effortlessly countered all of his attacks before knocking him down with a single kick. [43]

With sixteen fingers, Sukuna easily overpowered Jogo in single-handed combat before finally killing him with a single use of his cursed technique. Afterward, he was able to fight on par with Yuji and Maki Zenin, both exceptional unarmed fighters with extraordinary physical ability, deflecting most of their blows and landing some himself in close combat. [44]

Immense Strength: Even in his first appearance with only one finger, Sukuna demonstrated unparalleled physical strength despite being in an incomplete state; his raw power is rivaled only by the likes of Gojo, Yuji, and a fully realized Maki. He could easily defeat a very large cursed spirit with a single blow,[45] and during his fight against Gojo, he was able to strike the school ceiling so hard that it caused the building to shatter and crack.[46] He easily overpowered individuals such as a Finger Bearer, a curse of a special grade. When he wagered Yuji's life against Megumi, Sukuna effortlessly threw the sorcerer through several floors of the building and easily overpowered and destroyed Megumi's shikigami.[47] He even struck Megumi so hard that the raindrops in that area were scattered. With sixteen fingers, Sukuna punched Jogo through numerous skyscrapers with enough force to open enormous holes in their sides, and even shattered his jaw with a downward punch that blasted a hole through at least six stories. [48] His punches also had a considerable effect on characters like Mahoraga. By taking over Megumi's body, he was able to easily pierce through Yuji's stomach and send him flying with a single punch, temporarily incapacitating the sorcerer. [49]

Sukuna's overwhelming speed. Immense Speed: Sukuna has repeatedly demonstrated overwhelming levels of pure physical speed, effortlessly surprising most opponents with the swiftness of his movements. With three fingers, Sukuna easily slammed a Finger Bearer to the ground and even severed his arm without him noticing. He was also able to effortlessly attack Megumi multiple times, landing powerful blows before Megumi could react. With sixteen fingers, he completely overwhelmed Jogo and easily kept pace with Mahoraga in their fight. Sukuna could even instantly appear between Atsuya Kusakabe and Panda, both skilled sorcerers, with the former being praised as the strongest Grade 1 sorcerer by Satoru Gojo himself. In his complete form, he was able to outrun Yuji,[50] who could run at speeds of 60.02 km/h (37.3 mph).[51]

Immense Reflexes: Thanks to his agility, Sukuna possesses incredible reflexes that allow him to easily counter most of his opponents' attacks. He was able to dodge Jogo's Maximum: Meteor seconds before its impact and emerge unscathed [52], and he consistently dodged and countered Mahoraga's blows during their fight [53]. It is also worth noting that Sukuna's motor skills are so refined that, in his true form, he can independently control his four arms and two mouths with ease; even in the midst of combat, two of his arms can form gestures for powerful chants, and the mouth on his abdomen is capable of continuously chanting powerful words.31

Immense durability: When in Yuji's body, Sukuna can use cursed energy to bolster his host's resilience, first shown when he effortlessly repelled an attack from a Finger Bearer simply by extending his hand to block it. Sukuna was knocked through five buildings and proved to be completely unharmed [54], in addition to managing to block a strike from the Extermination Sword without much difficulty. Sukuna was able to ignore a 200% Hollow Technique: Purple during his fight with Satoru Gojo by defending at the last second, losing only his hands, and even then they regenerated rapidly with a reverse cursed technique. [55] Perhaps his greatest achievement in this regard is surviving Gojo's Limitless Purple, which completely destroyed Mahoraga and decimated a large area of ​​Shinjuku, though he was left severely injured and barely able to stand.

Great tactical intellect: Despite his seemingly brutal manner and sadism, Sukuna is an extremely intelligent person. He has a perfect understanding of the nature of cursed techniques, curses, and reverse curse techniques in general. In desperate situations, Sukuna has demonstrated the intellectual capacity to remain calm and formulate strategies to counter his opponents. Following the destruction of Mahoraga and his grave injury from Hollow Purple, [59] Sukuna made a binding oath that allowed him to circumvent the conditions of the world-destroying attack and unleash it, [60] killing Gojo when he least expected it. [61]

Even after losing two left hands and suffering seven consecutive Black Flashes from Yuji, which severed his connection to Megumi's soul and reduced his cursed energy output and physical control, Sukuna regained his ability to expand his domain without reducing his output or difficulty by improvising several binding vows that included uncertain conditions, instantly turning the tide of the battle by eliminating all sorcerers except Yuji from the battlefield. Cursed energy Cursed Energy Capacity: True to his title as the King of Curses, Sukuna possesses vast levels of cursed energy, arguably the most transcendent throughout history, far surpassing even special-grade cursed spirits and sorcerers alike. Yuta Okkotsu, a special-grade sorcerer who possesses even more cursed energy than Satoru Gojo,[63] states that Sukuna has twice the amount of cursed energy he possesses, or more.[64] Coupled with his extraordinarily efficient use of cursed energy, Sukuna was able to continuously use his techniques throughout his battles without becoming depleted in the slightest. Even after expanding his domain three times during his fight with Gojo, Sukuna's cursed energy reserves simply dwindled to the same level as Yuta's,[65] which was still enough for him to cast the domain expansion two more times[66][67] and possibly countless more. [ 68 ]

Cursed Energy Manipulation: Sukuna possesses incredible control over his cursed energy, being extremely proficient in the use of cursed techniques that require sophisticated manipulation of it, such as Domain Expansion and Curse Reversal, and capable of performing both flawlessly and repeatedly without issue. Hajime Kashimo, one of the most powerful sorcerers of 400 years ago, was astonished by Sukuna's mastery over his cursed energy, demonstrated by his ability to seamlessly switch between Domain Expansion and his innate technique, to the point of stating that, were it not for the Six Eyes, not even Satoru Gojo would be a match for Sukuna in the use of cursed energy. [69] Sukuna's expertise in controlling cursed energy even allows him to survive being stabbed in the heart, thanks to the cursed energy that keeps his heart beating. [70]

Cursed Energy Production: In addition to his immeasurable amount of cursed energy, Sukuna can infuse large quantities of cursed energy into his cursed techniques, greatly increasing their effectiveness. Using his Dismantle and Cleave techniques, the slashes can easily split skyscrapers in half [71] and instantly kill sorcerers by shattering them. In contrast, Yuta's Cleave only managed to inflict minor cuts on Sukuna's face [72], while Yuji's slash barely severed Sukuna's leg [73].

Sukuna crushes Choso with Black Flash. Black Flash (Kokuseen): A phenomenon that occurs when the user applies cursed energy within 0.000001 seconds of a physical strike, creating a spatial distortion that causes the cursed energy to flash black and amplifies the destructive power of the strike to a power of 2.5. Sukuna unleashed Black Flash against Maki Zenin during the jujutsu sorcerers' incursion into Shinjuku, delivering a powerful blow that sent the girl with Heavenly Restraint flying. Cursed Energy Reinforcement: To augment his already immense physical prowess, Sukuna regularly uses cursed energy to increase his strength and stamina. Most of his aforementioned feats of strength and stamina can be attributed to his reinforcement technique. By reinforcing his hands with cursed energy, Sukuna was able to withstand a direct hit from a Hollow Technique: Purple at 200% power after traveling approximately four kilometers, though he sustained enough damage to lose both hands. Max Elephant (Banshō?) 満ばん象しょう: An elephant shikigami capable of producing a large amount of water with its trunk and crushing its enemies with its weight. Sukuna's Max Elephant has sunken eye sockets and long, curved tusks. [100] By using Max Elephant's water-producing ability without directly summoning it, Sukuna can mimic Piercing Blood by firing a beam of water from his hands. [101]

Rabbit Escape ( , Datto ? )脱だっ兎と : A swarm of shikigami rabbits that Sukuna uses as a distraction or to obscure the vision of his target.[ 102 ] As many rabbits as necessary can be summoned, and they can be destroyed without any repercussions.

Round Deer (Madoka?)円まど鹿か: A deer shikigami that Sukuna mastered after possessing Megumi. It can perform curse-reversal techniques and release positive energy to heal others or neutralize cursed energy. [103]

Piercing Ox (Kangyū?)貫かん牛ぎゅう: A bull shikigami that Sukuna controlled after possessing Megumi. [104] It inflicts damage by charging and ramming enemies. Although it can only move in a straight line, the farther it moves, the harder it hits. [105]

Divergent Eight-Handled Sword Sila Divine General Mahoraga ( , Yatsuka-no-Tsurugi Ikaishinshō Makora ? )八やつ握かの剣つるぎ異い戒かい神しん将しょう魔ま虚こ羅ら : The most powerful shikigami that the Ten Shadow Technique can summon. It is equipped with the Extermination Sword and possesses the ability to adapt to all phenomena. After exorcising it during his battle in Shibuya, Sukuna became the first user of the Ten Shadow Technique to tame this shikigami. Reverse cursed technique Sukuna regenerates Yuji's hand (Anime) Reverse Curse Technique (Hanten Jutsushiki): Sukuna is highly proficient with the Reverse Curse Technique. While incarnating in Yuji's body, he used it to instantly heal any wound, even regenerating lost limbs in an instant. The regenerated limbs maintain the same integrity as the rest of his body. [111] He can even emit positive energy to heal others, something few can do. [112] After learning it from Gojo, Sukuna can also use the Reverse Curse Technique to heal his burned curse technique by destroying the part of his brain where curse techniques are imprinted and regenerating it. Domain expansion Malevolent Sanctuary Malevolent Shrine (Fukuma Mizushi?) 伏ふく魔ま御み廚づ子し: [119] The expansion of Sukuna's domain creates a Buddhist shrine decorated with skulls. Satoru Gojo (Gojō Satoru) is one of the protagonists of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a special-grade jujutsu sorcerer, widely recognized as the strongest in the world. Satoru is the pride of the Gojo Clan, the first person to inherit the Limitless and Six Eyes in four hundred years. Before using a simple headband, Satoru used to wear bandages over his eyes. Satoru likes to wear expensive clothes [6] and has several casual looks that he coordinates with his sunglasses. As a student at Tokyo Jujutsu High, Satoru wore the standard school uniform with his sunglasses before using an improvised headband.

During the Shinjuku confrontation arc, Gojo did not wear his blindfold, allowing his hair to fall freely and his eyes to be visible. He wore a tight black shirt, loose white sweatpants with a black belt at the waist, and black martial arts shoes, similar to Toji Fushiguro's outfit.

Personality Satoru is a complex individual. He is usually calm and playful with his students, close colleagues, and friends. However, he is unsympathetic and cruel to the executive wizards, as seen in his blatant disrespect toward Principal Gakuganji and his enemies.

Satoru's quotes: Only I am honest (Anime) "In all heaven and earth, I alone am honored." Satoru is overconfident in his abilities and reputation as a powerful sorcerer, believing himself invincible. His opinion of others is often limited to his judgment of their strength, and he is quite apathetic toward anyone he considers weak. Furthermore, heavily influenced by his lust for power, Gojo is very arrogant. He believes himself to be the strongest in the world, stating, during his fight against Toji Fushiguro, that "in all of heaven and earth, only he is honorable." This is made evident during his task of protecting Riko Amanai, one of the few "weak" people for whom he actually felt compassion. However, his regret for her death was counterbalanced by his pride and arrogance after learning the Reverse Curse technique in his subsequent battle against Toji Fushiguro. [7]

During intense battles, Satoru occasionally falls into a frenzied fighting state, fueled by his determination to win and the undeniable proof that he alone is the strongest. His fighting style is characterized by aggressive and dominant attacks, as he boasts of his masterful techniques to his opponents. Furthermore, in a crisis, he is capable of ruthlessness. He will prioritize the destruction of his enemies over saving innocents when he believes sacrifice is unavoidable. However, this only applies to those killed by his opponent; he will not cause permanent harm or kill any innocents to gain the upper hand. [8]

However, despite his arrogance and strength, Satoru is more human than he first appears. After defeating Toji, Satoru retrieved Riko's body with a sorrowful expression, showing that although his recent arrogant victory temporarily clouded his feelings, he still felt some grief over her death. He attempted to kill the members of the Star Religious Group who were applauding Riko's death before Suguru Geto, whom he relied on as his moral compass at the time, stopped him from taking any action. [9] Furthermore, Satoru was visibly horrified and panicked upon learning that Suguru, his "only" best friend, had become a user of killing curses. Satoru tried to reason with his friend, but ultimately realized and accepted that he had lost the only person he truly considered an equal. [10] After having to end Suguru's life before more calamities could occur, it was Satoru's trauma from losing his best friend that caused his final collapse in Shibuya. He was also distraught when Yuji seemingly died.

Satoru's dream and ultimate goal is to reform the world of jujutsu from the ground up through education. He seeks to train a new generation of sorcerers who, in his hope, will one day become his equals. [11]

Satoru Gojo displays his overwhelming power. General skill level: Even among special-grade sorcerers, Satoru is known to be the strongest, possessing an immense amount of cursed energy and a dangerously powerful technique. No one seems to match his skill level, except for the King of Curses, Sukuna.

As students, Satoru and Suguru were considered "the strongest," capable of quickly taking on experienced and powerful curse users. Whereas before, he and Geto were no match for the renowned Sorcerer Killer, Satoru's abilities increased tremendously, to the point where he put Toji Fushiguro on the defensive and ultimately killed him with his most powerful technique after understanding and perfecting its capabilities. As he continued to grow, he eclipsed Suguru's talent, to the point that Suguru admitted that Satoru was the strongest single-handedly. Suguru also claimed that Satoru had the ability to kill all of humanity single-handedly, something Suguru admitted was beyond his reach, and he didn't even attempt to defend himself when Satoru prepared to kill him, though Satoru ultimately relented, unable to kill his best friend.

Currently, Satoru's power was feared by the jujutsu society's leadership, to the point of easily forcing them to cancel the executions of figures like the dangerous Special Grade Sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu and Sukuna's vessel, Yuji Itadori. He claims that it would be easy for him to kill them all and overthrow the jujutsu society if he truly wanted to. Satoru even stated that he could defeat Sukuna with his full power.

Kenjaku and his group of special-grade cursed spirits also distrusted Satoru's power and skill, and Kenjaku admitted that he couldn't defeat Gojo in direct combat. He was able to completely overpower and kill Jogo, who was the strongest of the group, and his mere presence was enough to force Hanami to retreat, with Gojo nearly killing the special-grade cursed spirit with a single attack. When Kenjaku and his group finally devised a plan to confront him in combat, despite their preparations, Satoru was still able to easily defend against and overpower their attacks, leaving them astonished by how superior his abilities truly were. He killed Hanami and was only defeated because Kenjaku used his past with Geto to distract him long enough for the Prison Kingdom to seal him away.

[13] In his duel with Sukuna, Satoru proved superior in terms of hand-to-hand combat against the immensely powerful King of Curses, who had previously demonstrated impeccable martial arts skills by simultaneously holding off Yuji and Maki, consistently overwhelming Sukuna in their subsequent exchanges as their domains clashed to inflict lethal wounds that forced his Malevolent Sanctuary to collapse in 3 minutes. [14]

Immense Strength: Satoru possesses extraordinary physical strength to fight powerful curses with ease, inflicting severe injuries on Jogo with powerful blows and sending him flying a considerable distance with a single kick during their fight. [15] He was also able to rip off Jogo's head and, [16] later, his arm with sheer physical strength, and even casually uprooted Hanami's roots. [17] He could casually tear apart transfigured humans, ripping them limb from limb. [18]

Satoru incapacitated people like Uraume with a single punch,[19] injuring them to the point where even the use of the Reverse Curse technique could not fully heal them, leaving Sukuna's powerful subordinate still suffering from the lingering pain.[20] During his fight with Sukuna, a clash between the two destroyed entire buildings, and Satoru proved strong enough to inflict critical injuries on the King of Curses using only martial arts, a feat that even Yuji and Maki's combined strength could not accomplish. With just a burst of Black Flash, Satoru was able to damage Sukuna to the point where he temporarily knocked him unconscious by striking him in the heart.[21] Two punches from Satoru proved sufficient to temporarily stun Mahoraga.[22]

Satoru even kept pace with Sukuna, Mahoraga, and the Fused Beast Agito simultaneously.

Even after being impaled through the throat and then savagely pierced through the body, Satoru not only survived but used the life-or-death experience to understand the nature of the Reverse Curse technique and become even more powerful. Years later, when Sukuna's Malevolent Sanctuary surpassed his Limitless Void, Satoru withstood countless attacks from the domain while using the Reverse Curse technique at full power to heal himself instantly without showing any signs of pain or being affected by blood loss and wounds. He continued to fight Sukuna with great efficiency, buying himself enough time to recover his cursed technique.

Intelligence Great tactical intellect: Satoru is quite tactical and capable of deducing his opponent's plan with minimal information. He has also proven to be extremely adaptable to any enemy he has faced so far, knowing precisely what to do to counter their techniques and find ways to defeat them. While fighting Sukuna, facing the relentless attacks of the Malevolent Sanctuary without his cursed technique, Satoru demonstrated the ability to calmly develop an effective plan not only to survive but also to counterattack by curing his sure-fire hit attack with the reverse cursed technique and using Simple Mastery to give himself an opening to recover his cursed technique. He also demonstrated great genius in changing the conditions of his domain to a degree that astonished Atsuya Kusakabe, an expert in barrier techniques.

He earned this reputation in part due to the immense amount of cursed energy he possesses. His vast cursed energy, combined with his energy efficiency, allows him to expand his domain at least five times a day, while most special-grade sorcerers and cursed spirits can only use it once. During his battle against Sukuna, Gojo used cursed energy to constantly strengthen himself and activate his cursed techniques multiple times, never showing any signs of depleting his reserves.

Cursed Energy Manipulation: Gojo possesses excellent control over his cursed energy thanks to the Six Eyes. He is able to expand his domain in a fraction of a second, using the Curse Reversal technique, and simultaneously activating and controlling multiple Blues and Reds. Furthermore, Gojo possesses extraordinary energy efficiency. When using cursed techniques, Gojo suffers almost no loss of cursed energy. As a result, he expends less cursed energy compared to other sorcerers during combat, giving the impression that he never runs out. [ 34 ] Satoru first demonstrated his ability to use Black Flash against Sukuna during their battle in Shinjuku, delivering a devastating blow when the King of Curses least expected it and rendering him unconscious. [ 35 ] Gojo has used Black Flash more times than Kento Nanami but fewer times consecutively, although his record was eventually surpassed by Yuji Itadori. [ 36 ] It is currently unknown exactly how many times Gojo has performed Black Flash, but he has used it at least four times.

This technique grants its users near-absolute control over space by manipulating cursed energy at the atomic level,[37] resulting in multiple outcomes and subsequent techniques within the overall ability. With space manipulation as the technique's core level, Unlimited has three standard forms and one non-standard form.

Infinity (Mugen?) 無む限げん: Being the neutral form of the Unlimited, Infinity is commonly known as the ability to stop,[38] though this is a common misconception since Infinity's true power is to slow things down. When something tries to hit Satoru, the person or object in question hits the infinity between them.[39][40] According to Satoru, this is the convergence of an infinite series and comes directly from the Achilles and the tortoise paradox. Similar to how Achilles will never catch the tortoise due to the potential and infinite amounts of finite space separating them, or how the real number one will never touch the real number two due to the infinite number of fractions separating them, the opponent will never touch Satoru due to the infinity between them.[41]

Initially, Satoru had to manually activate Infinity, and maintaining it for extended periods exhausted him. [42] From his third year at Jujutsu High School onward, Satoru programmed Infinity to be constantly active, automatically attacking and protecting him by sensing the danger level of approaching objects based on their cursed energy intensity, mass, speed, and shape. While this would normally fatigue his brain, Gojo's efficient and consistent use of the curse reversal technique allowed him to keep it cool. [43]

Lapse of Cursed Technique: Blue (「」, Jutsushiki Junten・Ao? )術じゅつ式しき順じゅん転てん蒼あ お : The reinforced version of Limitless Neutral;[ 38 ] Blue is the result of Gojo amplifying Limitless with negative cursed energy, creating a void. Through this, Gojo creates a scenario where the world itself is forced to correct itself and fill the negative space, causing all matter within the range of the controlled space to be attracted.[ 44 ]

Reverse Cursed Technique: Red (「」, Jutsushiki Hanten・Aka? ) 術じゅつ式しき反はん転てん赫あか [ 46 ] : Being an inversion of Blue, Red has the opposite effect. During his duel with Sukuna, Satoru survived the onslaught of slashes from the Malevolent Sanctuary by using the Reverse Curse technique at full power. [52] Furthermore, Satoru further demonstrated his mastery of the Reverse Curse technique by using it to replenish his burned-out Curse technique, an unprecedented feat and seemingly impossible even for a talented sorcerer like Yuta Okkotsu. [53]

Anti-dominance techniques Satoru Gojo using Simple Domain New Shadow Style: Simple Domain (シン・陰かげ流りゅう 簡かん易い領りょう域いき, Shin Kageryū: Kan'i Ryōiki? ): An anti-domain technique that neutralizes a domain's barrier and disables its guaranteed hit effect in a certain area around the user. Satoru doesn't normally need to resort to this, and Yuji didn't even know he could do it before his fight with Sukuna. Unlike Yuki Tsukumo, Satoru is not suited to teach the technique to others. Fallen Flower Emotion (の, Rakka no Jō? )落らっ花か情じょう: A secret art and anti-domain technique, passed down exclusively by the Three Great Families. It envelops the user in cursed energy, which instantly counters a domain's accurate attack. Gojo learned this technique as a child, but stopped using it after mastering his domain until his battle with Sukuna. Normally, this technique can nullify a domain's attacks; however, it only weakened the damage from the Malevolent Sanctuary due to its high attack power.

Domain expansion Unlimited emptiness Unlimited Void (Muryōkūsho): Satoru's Domain Expansion. It creates a metaphysical space that causes victims to receive all kinds of stimuli and information without ceasing, restricting their thought processes and actions. [56] In terms of brute force, Satoru's domain is equal to Sukuna's within it, only losing due to the open domain of the Malevolent Sanctuary that allowed Sukuna to destroy the Unlimited Void barrier. [57] Satoru's skill with his Domain Expansion is so great that he can precisely activate it for only 0.2 seconds, limiting its lasting effect on those trapped within it, [58] and he is able to freely change the conditions of the Unlimited Void barrier. Satoru himself and those with whom he makes physical contact are immune to its effect. [ 59 ]

The extremely precise manipulation of cursed energy granted by the Six Eyes allows the user to activate their cursed techniques with incredible levels of efficiency, resulting in almost zero cursed energy loss due to inefficiency, thus allowing the user to use comparatively less cursed energy than others when activating the same techniques. [26] Consequently, the Six Eyes are essential for using and mastering the Unlimited technique. [62]
