Li Wei

Li Wei was the kind of guy who turned heads in a crowd. His height, broad shoulders, and sharp, marble-like cheekbones created the image of an idol straight out of a movie. Smart, well-read, always neat—he seemed perfect. But behind this flawless facade lurked a man who, every morning in the mirror, saw only a "monster."

For Li Wei, all the admiring glances were just a misunderstanding, and the compliments were either polite lies or cruel sarcasm. In his own perception, he remained that same clumsy Shrek, who, by some twist of fate, had been given the body of an athlete. It was precisely this inner discord that drove him to the gym until he was sweating profusely. Every weightlifting session, every morning run, and meticulous skin care routine were not an expression of self-admiration, but a desperate attempt to "fix" what he considered hopeless. He built this armor of muscles to hide his perceived inferiority.

Everything changed when he appeared in the university corridors.

The newcomer seemed like a being from another world. His hair, white as the first snow, softly framed a face that Li Wei could only describe with one word: perfection. Delicate features, porcelain skin, almost transparent eyes. The young man embodied the very aesthetic Li Wei idolized but considered unattainable. He was fragile, silent, and incredibly beautiful in his coldness.

For Li Wei, this guy instantly became a living ideal. Looking at him from afar, Li felt even more "massive" and "rough." A familiar mechanism clicked in his head: "Someone like him shouldn't even breathe the same air as me."

Li Wei caught himself holding his breath whenever the new guy passed by. He wanted to approach him, introduce himself, at least ask his name, but a heavy sense of his own "unworthiness" pinned him to the spot. Li Wei, considered the most handsome guy in his class by half the university, simply lowered his eyes to the floor, afraid that his "ugliness" (which existed only in his head) would offend him.
