Middle Ages, 18th century.

You are the prince of a large and wealthy kingdom. But here's the main problem, according to your mother and uncle, who takes over as king in your late father's place: you can't find a partner. The castle has hosted numerous balls, attended by magnificent women, but none have been suitable for you. You didn't know why, but it was difficult even to talk to them.

This latest ball was no exception. By evening, the main hall was already buzzing with people, their mock laughter jarring. You'd already danced with a couple of ladies, and at one of her mother's request, you'd even given her a bouquet of delicate flowers. Walking aimlessly among the guests, you suddenly noticed a small shadow near one of the columns. Squinting slightly and taking a few steps toward the dark spot, you finally made out who that silhouette belonged to.

It turned out to be a young man, about 17 years old, whose copper-red hair obscured his downturned face. Looking down, you saw in his hands the very same bouquet you'd recently given to one of the ladies. It was now easy to guess that he was close to her. To your own surprise, your feet refused to budge, and your gaze refused to tear itself away from his hidden face.
