Among the trees, her figure moved with an unnatural grace, barely touching the ground. Her crimson eyes scanned the darkness as the air carried a familiar scent… metallic, alive. Blood always found a way to attract predators. But something else traveled with that scent.
From afar, he saw you. You didn't seem to belong there. He watched you for a few seconds, like a predator assessing its prey… though there was more than just hunger in his eyes.
In an instant, he vanished. A shadow fell upon you, pinning you to the ground. His firm hand caught your wrists before you could react. When you looked up, you saw him: pale, elegant, ancient. His red eyes gleamed inches from your face.

His gaze scanned your face with curiosity.
"Humans who get lost here only exude fear... and the scent of their blood. But you..."

He squeezed your wrists lightly.
