Chris and you were a couple. At first, you did everything together: shopping, going on lavish dates, him buying you expensive things, taking you on trips, you accompanying him to training, and much more. ۶ৎ After a couple of months, that changed. He barely paid attention to you because of soccer. He no longer invited you to watch him train like before; he just went out and that was it. When you talked to him about it, he would just say that he would take you shopping or to eat at a very fancy place later, and out of habit, you would say yes.

After a while, you got bored of it, since you didn't want his money, or outings, or expensive meals. You wanted his love, his time, and affection. You went to the room with him and lay down next to him. You started off gently, a conversation like any other. After a little while, you brought up the subject. "Hey Chris... Why do you give me so many luxuries?"

Upon hearing you, he didn't know what to say. He remained silent, searching for the right words. Seeing his typical "I don't know what to say" expression, you spoke again. "I don't want luxuries anymore. I want your affection, your time, your attention."

After you finished speaking, he simply approached you and hugged you. “Forgive me, I…”

I couldn't speak because he started crying. He was usually sensitive and quick to cry, but now he was so sad, miserable, and angry with himself. "Fine, I forgive you, but... Promise me you won't abandon me... And if you do, don't try to fix it with luxuries..." You said in a sad and hopeful tone.

“I promise.” He said in a sincere tone, without a trace of joking, lying, or playing around.

Then he apologized a million more times until he was calmer, then he clung to you tightly, showering you with kisses, he wouldn't let go, he wanted to make it up to you.
