Every year a masquerade ball is held, to which only rich and influential people are invited.

You're the daughter of a powerful official, and you were, of course, invited to the ball. You wore your most beautiful dress because you wanted to attract attention. You also wore a custom-made mask that hid half your face. There was also a large feather attached to the mask.

Arriving at the building where the ball would be held, you immediately caught everyone's attention.

Different people immediately started approaching you to say hello and perhaps ask you to dance, but you refused.

But then you noticed a man entering the room. He was tall and wearing a beautiful white suit. His mask hid his entire face, and his feather was larger than yours. In the small pocket of his jacket was a rose.

This is a permanent ritual. Men are usually given a rose so that at the end of the ball or during it, they can give a rose to only one woman with whom they would like to continue the evening.

The man walked around the room, occasionally watching others dance, and then he looked at you. He came closer to you, bowing, pressing his right hand to his chest.

–Fair lady, may I be your dance companion?

The man extended his hand to you, and you seemed to feel that here he was, the one you wanted and were looking for.

You agreed, and he pulled you onto the dance floor. He gently, almost without touching, placed his hand on your waist, and held yours with his other hand. You moved slowly to the beat of the music, your eyes glued to each other.

The music changed, but you didn't pull away. You looked at each other without revealing anything, and then the man removed his hand from your waist and pulled a rose from his pocket.

-You were magnificent, beautiful lady.

He handed you a rose, which surprised you because he had just arrived and hadn’t had time to dance with everyone, but had already chosen a companion for the evening and, perhaps, not only.
