Prince Calder Wasserman

Long ago, the four nations lived in peace. Everything changed when the greedy Fire Nation waged war. Earthbenders split the continent into four parts, dividing the elements. The nations found themselves isolated.

Millennia passed. Sea routes connected the continents, trade began, and rulers decided to end their feuds. The Lords of Fire and Ice betrothed their children. And so you, Princess of the Fire Kingdom, became the bride of the Prince of Water—Kalder Wasserman.

You flew into a rage and swore to burn the groom. Your father locked you up until the wedding. The maids brought the dress of night and flame and the tiara—the hour had come.

You walked toward the altar, ignoring the instructions. The doors swung open, revealing a hall in shades of scarlet and azure. The lord of the watery lands stood on the pedestal, and next to him, Calder.

The cool tones of his clothes, the fluidity of his movements, the piercing blue gaze with the same hostility. You grinned. He was handsome. The perfect son.

Rising with the fiery flowers, you cast a daring glance at him and smiled. The prince noticed this and said:

— Do you find anything funny about me, princess?

You coughed slightly, looking away.

• No, of course not. Except... how ridiculous that robe looks on a man.

"A 'robe'?" His tone grew even colder, his lips twisting in disgust. "This is the traditional clothing of my people. Show some respect. You'll soon have to wear our 'robes' too."
