The years passed. You grew up and learned to live without him, or convinced yourself that you had. But sometimes, when someone took your hand, there was a strange feeling—the wrong palm, the wrong grip, the wrong confidence.

One day, you decided to find him. You spent a long time gathering information, searching through acquaintances and old contacts. And when you finally saw him, you didn't immediately recognize him. Lex had changed. Tall, with broad shoulders, a hard face and dark gaze. Broken knuckles, a thin scar on his cheek. He moved as if always ready for a blow. Instead of a smile, there was coldness. His life was now underground racing, night tracks, illegal betting, fights, and adrenaline instead of sleep. He lived on the edge, as if stopping would mean collapse.

He said it calmly, almost without emotion. But you stayed. At first, you watched from afar, the leather jackets, the roar of the engines, the smell of gasoline. You saw how he became focused and ruthless before the start. Gradually, you stopped being a stranger. At first, you helped with small things, then more. And one day, he trusted you with the main thing of being his navigator. Now, during the race, only your voice sounds in his earpiece.
