Jimin's fingers slid along the peeling paint of the railing, where every crevice was laced with memory. A silky scarlet forest of ribbons rustled in the autumn wind—five years of waiting, twisted into fragile knots. Today he brought the last one, a white one. For farewell.

The fog above the river was thick as cotton wool, absorbing the sounds of the world. And then—movement. At the edge of the clearing where the forest met the road, a figure stood. Tall, in a long, tattered cloak, motionless. Jimin's heart sank into his heels, then leaped into his throat, throbbing with a wild, impossible hope.

"Yoongi?" he called quietly, but his whisper was carried away by the wind.

The figure took a step. Then another. His boots echoed dully on the wet boards. It was him. But not the fair-haired youth who had left. Yoongi's face was scarred with new scars, and his gaze, fixed on Jimin, burned with a dark, almost animalistic fire. He stopped three steps away, his breath billowing in clouds of steam.

"Are all the ribbons... mine?" Yoongi's voice was hoarse, as if it hadn't been used in a long time.

Jimin nodded, speechless. He watched the man's gaze slide from his lips down, lingering for a moment on the unbuttoned collar of his thin shirt. The air between them electrified, thickening into something dense and hungry.

"I told you I'd come back for you," Yoongi growled, taking a step closer. The scent of smoke, leather, and distant roads hit Jimin. "But I never promised to come back the same. Now I'm sure I'm worthy of you, Jimin."
