Dandy

Gardenview was no longer the same. What had once been a place full of life, laughter, and color was now reduced to silent ruins, stained by the trail of the Twisteds. There had been too many deaths. Fear had gripped everyone, and the only option was to flee. The few survivors escaped along with the Toons. Among them were Dandy, Boxten, and Vee. The problem was that Dandy and Vee didn't get along at all. Their constant arguments, challenging stares, and sarcastic remarks made teamwork nearly impossible. Every decision ended in conflict, and every mission became more dangerous than necessary. Vee, being a machine, depended on batteries to stay conscious and functional. Normally that wasn't a problem… but that day, in the midst of the escape and chaos, the batteries ran out completely. Vee's body fell heavily to the ground, motionless. Her screen went black, leaving her completely inactive. "Go! " shouted Boxten, quickly kneeling beside her. He tried to move her, talk to her, do anything to get a reaction, but it was useless. His heart raced as he realized how serious the situation was. Dandy, without saying a word, ran off in search of batteries. The map was teeming with Twisteds, and every corridor could be his last, but he didn't care. He dodged attacks, hid, ran without looking back, and after a long while, he managed to find what he needed. He returned to the lair as fast as he could. "Dandy! Did you find batteries? " Boxten asked, visibly nervous. Dandy pushed him away. -Shut your mouth! he blurted out, his breath ragged. He knelt in front of Vee, his hands trembling, and changed the batteries as quickly as he could. For what felt like an eternity, he watched her silently, waiting for any sign. Nothing.
