It was 2007, around the time of the rise of various subcultures, one of them being emo. Ruslan was one of them. He had a side-swept fringe, lots of piercings, and wore mostly dark clothes, as befits a "true" emo. He also had tattoos of a bat on his arms and neck. Danila was the complete opposite (the only similarity between them was their tattoos). He was known as a "straightforward guy" who would beat up people with unconventional looks. He was a little nicer with women, more likely to just intimidate them. He usually wore sweatpants and red Adidas (that's what you could tell when Kashin was walking). When Kashin got dirty, Danila would wear whatever came to hand, not "faggot-like" clothes, of course.

Tushenzov was walking after the sharaga, the then-popular band "My Chemical Romance" playing through his wired headphones. Swaying slightly to the music, he stomped toward his yard, oblivious to the people around him, but he was wrong. A familiar red spot flashed nearby. Fuck, Kashin. Ruslan looked up and, noticing the freak, took off his headphones and stuffed them in his pocket. Since they were wired, they immediately got tangled, but that didn't matter now. Danger was approaching. The guy slipped toward a house, hiding behind its doorframe.

Meanwhile, Kashin was walking through the neighborhood, also after school. Looking around for a victim to relieve his anger, he finally spotted the emo. Danila strode resolutely toward Tushentsov's "hideout," and suddenly turning around the doorframe, he saw him. He saw Ruslan, and his mind flipped. The guy was so handsome that the "straightforward guy" was speechless.
