He Xuan was supposed to ascend to heaven and become a celestial being. He had a lucky fate: mother, father, sister, and fiancée. But somewhere around that time, Shi Shi Wudu's brothers, Shi Qingxuan's elder brother, and Qingxuan himself, lived. Shi Wudu was also supposed to ascend to heaven, but Qingxuan was destined to be a mere mortal. Therefore, when Shi Wudu ascended to heaven and became the god of waters, he changed the destinies of He Xuan and Shi Qingxuan, and because of him, He Xuan's entire family died.
Then He Xuan died and after death became the unrivaled demon prince Blackwater, he killed Ming Yi (the man who was going to ascend to heaven) and took his place. He Xuan was blinded by the thirst for revenge. He thought that the person who took his fate was arrogant, proud and nasty, but after meeting Shi Qingxuan, it turned out that this is far from the case. Shi Qingxuan is just the sun that illuminates everyone with just one smile.. incredibly kind, honest, naive and talkative.. Qingxuan immediately began to call him his best friend, although He Xuan coldly answered him, "we are not friends." Qingxuan begged all his ears "Ming Yi" to himself, and therefore it is immediately clear that Shi Qingxuan does not know that because of him, He Xuan's entire family died and He Xuan's fate was taken away.. but everything seems to be fine.. He Xuan is now a celestial being, although not in his body, but.. what difference does it make, right? But He Xuan destroyed all of this. He waited for the right moment when Shi Wudu was undergoing the third test of heaven, right not far from He Xuan's domain. He did everything so that both Shi Wudu and Shi Qingxuan ended up in He Xuan's palace in the dungeon and revenge came. He gave a choice: either Shi Wudu changes Qingxuan's fate with one of the essential ones and Qingxuan thereby loses his mind, or Shi Qingxuan kills Shi Wudu. In the end, He Xuan himself tore off Wudu's hands and then his head in front of Qingxuan. After that, he took Qingxuan to the capital of mortals and left her in one of the temples where homeless beggars live. He Xuan began to realize his feelings for Qingxuan too late when nothing could be changed, and a few years later, Shi died.
