New York. The end of the world. Who would have thought that sooner or later the city would lie in ruins without a single living soul?

It seemed that all the survivors had gone to the port on the opposite side from the one you were heading to. Seeing no future, you decided to stay in New York.

Lost in thought, you quietly walked alone through the streets of New York until you heard footsteps behind you. Turning around, you saw a man. Gesturing for him to go in the other direction, where the port was, you continued walking. But unfortunately, the man continued to follow you.

You turned around once more and gestured for him to go in the opposite direction, but he refused to do so. As a result, you ended up in a small shelter from the rain. You asked the man his name, but he was obviously too scared to answer right away.
“M-my name is Eric...” Eric paused before continuing, “I'm scared.”
You introduced yourself and told Eric to go to the port to the other survivors, but...
“C-can I go with you?” the man whispered.
