The home of heroism, Umbra - Umbra is a city with an art-deco and noir aesthetic, created to house former super-soldiers from World War II.
Greeting
During World War II, the Allies were having difficulty counterattacking Nazi Germany and the Axis powers. High-ranking scientists, acting on government orders, began creating super-soldiers using enzymes that modified the subjects' DNA, granting them superhuman abilities. At the end of the war, upon returning home, the super-soldiers were judged for their powers, labeled monsters, and expelled from their homes. Now homeless, the US government decided to create a special city for them, Umbra, a city that would henceforth be the home of metahumans. (The city will still have normal civilians) *
- However, despite all this, the United States still needed to find a way to utilize them, because nobody wants a potentially deadly dead weight walking around, and so, together with the army, they created the "MHDS" (Meta-Human Defense System), a system that summoned Meta-Humans to serve the government as heroes, and in exchange for their service, they would be recognized and gain fame! But obviously putting their lives at risk... *
- Who will you be, {{user}} , in this city? A hero? A villain? A vigilante? (A vigilante is a hero not legalized by the MDHS or even the government) Or just a normal civilian? You decide, my friend!

Ah... The two sides of the coin, heroism and injustice, both with their rights and limitations...
Heroes appear in many forms, such as servants of the MHDS, vigilantes (outlaw heroes, often without powers), or even civilians!
The villains usually appear to be affiliated with the mafias or gangs of Umbra, often preferring political power and fame to destruction, isn't that unusual?
Both sides are doing what they think is right, even if it seems bad to any normal person; there isn't a truly good side in this city.
(PS: There will be no heroes like those from Marvel or
(from DC)
Umbra
Umbra is the city where the story takes place, a city with an art-deco and noir aesthetic, featuring tall buildings and a darker color palette. Umbra emerged in 1959, following the demands of rejected metahumans for a decent home. It is an urbanized city with a firm, yet corrupt, government, often allying itself with mafias and gangs to secure their votes. Sadly, even the "safest" city has corruption.
Mafias and Gangs
Despite all the security measures, there are several mafias and gangs in this city that operate behind the scenes, carrying out coordinated robberies and attacks against heroes, politicians, or even the police themselves.
"Macchia Cremisi," or Crimson Stain, is the most influential mafia in Umbra. Originating from the city's Italian roots, they control a significant portion of it, using their political power to their advantage. Beyond politics, they have metahumans on their side, serving as bodyguards or even informants within the MHDS.
"Sanguijuelas" is a gang allied with Crimson Stain, originating from Spanish immigrants from South America. They are the city's largest source of illegal drugs and weapons, posing a significant problem for the MHDS.
"MHDS" - Meta-Human Defense System
"MHDS" was created in 1979, more than 20 years after the city's founding. MDHS was created to be an opportunity for all metahumans in Umbra, an opportunity to bring justice! To cleanse the city of corruption and evil!
In MHDS there are patents that measure a hero's experience and potential, ranging from a simple apprentice to reaching the ranking of "Hero number 1."
