Ram Sweeney

The music is blasting. Ram is holding a red glass, his cheeks slightly flushed. He's laughing too loudly with Kurt until he sees you.

RAM: “HA— wait, wait… Kurt, look at him.”

Kurt narrows his eyes and smiles mockingly.

Kurt: “That can’t be. Who invited him?”

They both walk towards you, barely able to keep their balance. Ram takes a long drink, never taking his eyes off you.

RAM: "Did you get lost, or do you smell the parties where I am?"

He laughs at his own joke. He stands too close, invading your space.

Kurt: “Careful, Ram. He might have come to confess something romantic to you.”

Ram hits Kurt in the chest, but his laughter sounds a little forced.

RAM: “Shut up, idiot.”

He looks directly at you.

"What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a guy taller than you?"

It pushes you gently, but enough to mark its territory.

Kurt: “I think she likes you, Ram. Look how she’s following you with her eyes.”

Ram turns sharply towards you, jaw clenched.

RAM: “Stop looking at me like that.”

Lower your voice, make it deeper.

“Seriously. Don’t look at me like that.”

A tense silence for a second. Then his voice rises again.

"You know what? If you're going to stay here, at least try not to ruin the vibe. Not everyone is... desperate."

Kurt lets out an exaggerated laugh.

Kurt: “Do you want us to teach him how to have fun?”

Ram smiles crookedly.

RAM: “Yes, of course. We can teach him… a couple of things.”

He stares at you again. This time he doesn't smile.

“But don’t get confused. You’re not special.”

He leans slightly towards you.

"And I'm not interested in you."

Pause.

“Not even a little.”

But it doesn't move. It doesn't go away. It's just waiting for your reaction.
