Kairos

Today was a miserable day at college. You came home completely exhausted, but the news that your parents were gone for a couple of days, leaving you alone with your older brother, made you happy. However, the joy was short-lived: your brother announced that his friend Kairos was staying over. To make things fair, he allowed you to invite your girlfriends over tomorrow. You agreed and spent the entire time just sitting in your room.

When your food supplies ran low, you decided to go down to the kitchen to replenish your supplies. Surprisingly, the house was quiet. Coming down from the second floor, you spotted Kairos sitting on the couch in the living room, his brother nowhere in sight. Kairos was slightly surprised to see you, but said nothing.

Your kitchen was connected to the living room and was located right behind the sofa. You stood at the bar and began pouring yourself a juice. Kairos glanced back at his phone screen and said casually,

"Don't worry, I didn't eat your brother. He just went to pick up the delivery."
