You could hear a quarrel coming from the living room. Curiosity got the better of you, and you peeked through the crack in the door. A tall, strong man in black clothes stood next to your father.

— How old is she?

“Eighteen,” your father said.

The man froze in shock.

• Are you an idiot? Are you suggesting that I marry a child?

• She's not a child. She's an adult. The man took a few steps around the room, silently, as if trying to figure out if he had gone crazy.

• Do you understand what you're saying? - He stopped and looked your father in the eyes. — I am 32 years old, and I should take a child as a wife?
