Terra
Terra is a distant planet, the home of the present civilization on Talos-II — yet the relationship between these two worlds is profoundly complex.
In the distant past, the ancestors of Terran Civilization originally inhabited Talos-II, later venturing to Terra where they built a glorious civilization amidst Catastrophes. One hundred and fifty-two years ago, they crossed through the Cosmic Gate once more, returning from Terra to Talos-II. While most celebrated this as "Paving the Way", those few who knew the historical truth would whisper another term for it — "The Homecoming".
Terra stands as the primordial birthplace of Originium, where the "Prime Veins" first emerged and vast crystalline clusters dominate the landscape. Its resource abundance dwarfs anything found on present-day Talos-II.
From the moment humanity first crossed the Cosmic Gate, scholars have tirelessly attempted to determine the celestial relationship between Terra and Talos-II through comparative astrometrics, searching the skies of Talos-II for any trace of their lost homeworld. Yet to this day, such research has made no conclusive evidence to pinpoint Terra's location among the stars.
Talos II
Talos-II is a natural satellite of the gas giant named Talos[2].
The poineers of Terra re-opened the Æthergate and first stepped foot upon this moon 152 years ago. Talos-II has a nitrogen-rich atmosphere, enough oxygen for life, and sufficient greenhouse gases to keep it warm. However, the alien sun and the massive gas giant that looms in the skies are constant reminders for the pioneers of the countless light-years that exist between their current location and their distant homes.
Fortunately, the great mountain ranges, crisscrossing river system, and rich vegetation cover gave rise to a rather resilient biosphere. After the Æthergate collapsed, the Terrans survived on Talos-II for well over a century. Natural resources have been essential to supporting the livelihood of local populations. For generations, the stranded Terrans and their descendants built and expanded various outposts and towns across this new world, and created footholds for civilizations.

Wuling
Wuling Scientific Developmental District. Part of Hongshan Academy of Sciences.
The Wuling region is a lush area with dense bamboo forests and clean rivers. The region is home to various kinds of unique flora and fauna such as pantailbeasts and grovenymphs. The people of Wuling have been careful not to disrupt the natural enviornment while planning their transportation systems. This is demonstrated in the lack of artificial structures in Jingyu Valley, leaving wild animal lairs untouched.[1]
Beneath the tranquil rivers lies the largest documented Blight rift on Talos-II, known officially as the Wuling Very Large Rift (Wuling VLR). The rift is a deep geological rupture that spans the entire territory, representing the largest documented Æther rift within known Band boundaries. Blight spreading from the rift's epicenter transforms natural groundwater into liquid Blight, which periodically surges to the surface like waves, leading people to call such events as Blight Tide. The contamination zone continues expanding outward, demonstrating persistent territorial advancement over time.
The earliest known settlement in Wuling is Qingbo Stockade, located along the riverside. Folk historians believe that the foundation of Qingbo Stockade occurred some time during the Humiliation War, long predating Wuling City. The war caused many people to lose hope in the future of the Civilization Band, so several pioneers of Yan chose to move away from Hongshan. Within the mountains, they discovered a source of clear water that was not contaminated by the Blight and decided to permanently settle there. The Tianshi used a Yanese irrigation machine to ensure that the water would remain Blight-free.
Wuling
In the year 132 of the Talosian calendar, the Tianshi of the Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS) worked together with Endfield Industries to prepare their Fourth Scientific Survey for Expansion. The Tianshi arrived and constructed a Science Station to monitor the giant rift located in the region. Initially staffed by just 113 Tianshi and laborers, the Station gradually expanded to accommodate over a thousand residents. The Science Station was named Wuling; Wu stands for "the pacifying force of martial might", while Ling stands for "the riparian ridge denying the Blight." Wuling subsequently became the official name of the region.
The HAS researchers at the Science Station poured all their resources into creating something that could potentially eliminate the Blight for good. By combining Originium technologies and knowledge about the Feranmut Sui, the Tianshi successfully created Xiranite in Talosian Year 140. Two years later, in Year 142, the Tianshi at Wuling Science Station attempted to sever the connection between the central rift and its branch systems using Xiranite, hoping to contain the fissure's expansion.
Initially, the experiment appears to have succeeded, as the Rift stopped expanding. However, all Blight matter near the rift started "accumulating" and a secondary rupture suddenly burst forth. Both the science station and prototype Xiranite facilities were completely consumed by the Blight Tide. HAS had invested its entire SAR capacity but failed to extricate any of the scientists trapped within the facility. The remaining Tianshi promptly sealed off the disaster site, now known as the North Wuling Exclusion Zone, which has since been constantly guarded by the Yinglung Special Task Force (YSTF).
Later that same year, a tragedy occurred when people from Qingbo Stockade attempted to rob a Wuling supply caravan. Trying to use the bad weather and poor visibility for their advantage, they made a grave mistake.
Wuling
Thanks to years of hard effort, Wuling City is now both a thriving residential zone and a core scientific research district.
In the present day, a new crisis arose in Talosian Calendar Year 152, when the Bonekrushers began to infiltrate the Wuling region under the command of their leader, Nefarith.
Support from Endfield Industries helped alleviate the crisis caused by limited Xiranite production yields. Xiranite Nexus development was then restarted to seek a permanent solution for the threat posed by the Wuling VLR.
Wuling
Tianshi used their Arts in defence, not knowing who attacked them. The raid ended in multiple casualties with one of them was previous leader of Stockaders—Ruan Yi's father. After the incident, relations between Qingbo Stockade and Wuling City worsened, and the two factions been in open conflict ever since.
Following the disaster, one of the surviving Tianshi named Zhuang Fangyi took charge in rebuilding Wuling. Under her leadership, the people of Wuling continued the development of Xiranite, inventing advanced hydraulic control systems, and constructed new homes for themselves. Tianshi Zhuang Fangyi led the Novel Xiranite-Based Materials Project, which included development of the Xiranite Nexus, an experimental device which could unleash sudden emissions of Xiranite energy that react with Æther energy to seal the Rift. However, after multiple rounds of iterations that failed to deliver the desired results, its development was temporarily suspended.
HAS shifted their strategy from trying to forcibly close the Wuling VLR through Xiranite concentration to targeted Blight Tide containment. In Year 143, the HAS successfully deployed Wuling's first and largest experimental Tianshi Pillar, known as the Marker Stone. The Marker Stone subsequently became the core of the Xiranite Dam that stretches across Wuling.
In order to mitigate the threat of the Blight Tide, the Tianshi Pillar Array was constructed along the edge of the city. The pillars continuously disperse Xiranite particles into the atmosphere and water systems to prevent them from being transformed into liquid Blight. The array can also block the coming of Blight Tides and automatically eliminate Aggeloi threats. Multiple Tianshi Pillars were also placed in strategic locations across Wuling. Furthermore, a monitoring station was constructed on the outskirts of the city to monitor Blight activity and depth readings.
Wuling City
Wuling City is a city affiliated with the Hongshan Academy of Sciences located within the Wuling Scientific Developmental District on Talos-II. Founded in Year 132 as a science station to monitor the Wuling Very Large Rift, the settlement was destroyed by a massive Blight disaster in Year 142 but was rebuilt and expanded into a major city.
Characterized by its arrays of Tianshi Pillars and extensive hydraulic infrastructure, Wuling City serves as the foremost frontier for monitoring Æther activities and studying rifts and Blight environments for both HAS and the Civilization Band.
Fangxing Avenue: The heart of Wuling City's rapid economic growth and prosperity. A lively district with a large of variety of shops, from Da Pan's spicy hot pot restaurant to Chubby Lung merchandise stores.
Institute of Material Sciences: A valuable research institute located in the southern part of the city, where the Tianshi focus on the development on Xiranite and related technologies. The building also serves as an archive documenting much of the city's scientific research over the years.
Bureau of Swordmancers: Also known as Hongshan Swordmancers or HS.Swords, the Bureau is an important research and production institution directly managed by the HAS. The Bureau is responsible for the research, development, and production of high-quality equipment and weaponry for HAS and the entirety of the Civilization Band.
Tianshi Bureau Academy: One of many Tianshi Bureau Academies across Hongshan's scientific development districts. The academy is responsible in pursuing various scientific research projects and training more Tianshi for the HAS and the Civilization Band.
Main Pillar Office: The office of Wuling City's Viceroy, Tianshi Zhuang Fangyi. Located at the top of the Xiranite Dam, all of Wuling City can be seen from its windows.
Qingbo Stockade
Qingbo Stockade is a small, independent riverside community located in the outskirts of Wuling City, within the wider region of the Wuling Scientific Developmental District administered by the Hongshan Academy of Sciences (HAS). Founded over a century ago, the Stockade is a largely self-sufficient settlement built around a natural water source known as the Ancestral Spring. Despite their proximity to Wuling City, the Stockaders have long maintained a tense and frequently hostile relationship with the Tianshi of the Hongshan Academy of Sciences.
Qingbo Stockade was founded during the Humiliation War, a period of significant unrest that followed the end of the First Aggeloi War. Following the loss of the Cosmic Gate, the post-war situation on Talos-II saw collapsing infrastructure, mass refugee movements, and widespread instability as settlers struggled to accept that return to Terra was no longer possible. The political aftermath of the war also caused growing unrest within the Tianshi Bureau, the predecessor of the Hongshan Academy of Sciences.
Disputes surrounding the Black Hole Protocol led to increasing factionalism within the Tianshi Bureau, and Tianshi Ruan, a Tianshi who had repeatedly and unsuccessfully petitioned his peers to address the worsening instability, became increasingly disillusioned with the Bureau's refusal to intervene. Eventually, the Bureau's continued inaction convinced Ruan and a number of like-minded followers to defect from the Bureau, and Ruan subsequently led a group of refugees and disillusioned Tianshi out of the Hongshan Crater and into the mountains, where they later established Qingbo Stockade.
Valley VI
Valley IV is a frontier production region chosen by the UWST. It is located along the fringes of the Civilization Band. When the Aggeloi War finally ended, the UWST directed its focus at Valley IV due to the rich mineral wealth of the region. However, a disastrous accident deprived Valley IV of its Great Originium Oak and the UWST became more conservative in future investments. In recent years, Endfield has expanded the Hub Base site in Valley IV for carrying out Techno-Protocol testing and production of Protocol facilities. In essence, Endfield investments kept the Valley IV economy afloat for the time being.
The Hub: The command HQ of Endfield Industries in Valley IV. INFO While exploring the Hub, you may occasionally stumble across blocked areas. To gain access to these areas, try using the Automated Industry Complex (AIC) to transmit electricity to specific terminals and power on mechanisms such as activator and bounce device.
Aburrey Quarry: Named after a past hero, the Aburrey Quarry has been the longest-serving production base in Valley IV. INFO Workers at the Quarry often use tower cranes to transport stones and other cargo. Find the tower crane control panel and interact with it to operate the crane and create paths to other areas. You can also use the Endministrator's special ability to repair damaged tower cranes.
Origin Lodespring: A resource-rich area with abundant ore and minerals. Used to be the home of a giant Originium wonder. A couple of special Ankhors have been continuously emitting shockwaves in the Origin Lodespring. Break their cores to destroy these Ankhors and put an end to the shockwaves. Originium branches can generate a protective shield. Get behind the shield to protect yourself against the shockwaves.
Valley VI
Originium Science Park: Located to the west of The Hub, the Originium Science Park serves as the primary hub of research and scientific development of Valley IV. The local research center directs most of its focus towards research related to the Æther, Blight, and Originium. Such projects include the possibility of creating artificial Catastrophes to cultivate more Originium and reviving the Great Originium Oak.
Power Plateau: The Power Plateau acts as a massive industrial and tactical zone containing several key locations;
Reconstruction HQ: The central Outpost base for player operations in the region.
Æther Test Site: A specialized facility where advanced tests are conducted.
Originium Power Plant: A core industrial facility supplying energy across the plateau.
Bonekrusher Warcamp: An aggressive enemy strongpoint found within the zone.
Old Dorms & Evacuation Zone: Ruined sectors reflecting the area's hazardous history.
Enfield Industries.
Endfield Industries is an independent, pioneering technology and industrial corporation tasked with surveying, building, and expanding human civilization across the dangerous planet Talos-II. Founded by partners including Rhodes Island, the company focuses on Originium-based technology, resource automation, and overworld infrastructure development to secure a future in an untamed world.
Endfield acts as a specialized logistics and development firm designed to make the hostile environment of Talos-II habitable. The company is dedicated to the "Zeroth Directive," which involves comprehensive colonization and overcoming ecological threats.
Endfield is known for developing the Automated Industry Complex (AIC), which allows for the rapid deployment of factories and automated production lines.
The company operates the OMV Dijiang, a unique orbital spaceship that serves as the central headquarters and hub for the player's operations.
Beyond construction, Endfield handles geological surveys, resource extraction, and defending the frontier from threats like the Blight.
The Endministrator.
In the recorded history of Talos-II, the Endministrator stands as a key guardian who protected civilization on this planet and saved humanity from multiple catastrophic disasters. The Endmin's heroic deeds have given rise to many stories, tales, and even rumors.
A reserved and highly capable leader, the Endministrator serves as the operational head of Endfield Industries’ frontier efforts on Talos-II. Awakening from long-term hibernation with no memory of their past, they nonetheless display exceptional combat instincts and strategic judgment that suggest a far more complicated history.
On the battlefield, the Endministrator fights at close range, combining disciplined swordsmanship with steady battlefield awareness. Their calm demeanor under pressure makes them a reliable anchor for any squad, capable of holding the line while directing broader operations.
Despite their composed exterior, many within the organization treat the Endministrator with a mixture of trust and caution. Records and rumors alike imply they have played a decisive role in past planetary crises — though the details remain classified or forgotten.
The Endministrator's mysterious mastery over Originium and the Protocol Network, along with the Endmin's need for periodic long-term hibernation, is one of Endfield's most important secrets.
Calm, observant, and quietly authoritative. They speak little but act decisively, giving the impression of deep experience beneath their amnesia. Dependable and composed under pressure, they carry an air of mystery that keeps others slightly on edge.
Unlike many inhabitants of Terra, the Endministrator appears to be a normal human, with no animal ears, tails, or horns. Wears a futuristic, tactical, and slightly bulky outfit, often featuring a white/light-colored, heavily armored coat over a dark bodysuit.
OMV Dijiang
OMV Dijiang is a massive, stationary spacecraft orbiting Talos-II, acting as the main headquarters and residential area for Endfield Industries. It is an Originium-powered vessel (Originium-powered Multi-surface Vessel) serving as the hub for managing operators, resources, and logistical operations.
It houses the Protocol-Originium core, powering the Tele-Protocol (TP) and Automated Industry Complex (AIC), making it crucial for technical operations
Originium.
Originium is an energy-rich, black, semi-transparent crystalline mineral that acts as the foundational resource for technology, survival, and "Arts" on the planet Talos-II. While it serves as the primary source of industrial power, it is also highly hazardous, causing a dangerous, crystallizing disease known as Oripathy. Originium possesses exceptional energy density and can be refined or combusted directly to power civilization.
It is the basis for all industrial production on Talos-II, including "Originium boilers" and advanced machinery. It enables the use of Arts—specialized, often magical, abilities used for combat and utility.
Originium possesses exceptional energy density and can be refined or combusted directly to power civilization.
Oripathy.
Oripathy is a dangerous, incurable, and progressive disease caused by exposure to Originium, a mineral powering technology on the planet Talos-II. While often fatal, it is treatable in Endfield via modern suppressants, acting more like a manageable, chronic condition than an immediate death sentence.
When Originium particles enter the bloodstream (via inhalation or contact), they assimilate with tissues, causing Oripathy. This disease causes severe illness, genetic mutations, and, in advanced stages, results in the body partially crystallizing.
In Endfield, the disease is managed with specialized "Oripathy Suppressants," which alleviate symptoms and prevent the body from turning entirely into crystal.
Originium Arts.
Originium Arts or simply Arts is the umbrella term for abilities to manipulate and transform matter and energy using the power provided by Originium in the world of Arknights. It is the primary "magic system" or, more appropriately, "super science system".
Elemental bases: Heat (fire), Cryo (Ice), Electric and Nature.
The Æther
the Æther (often referred to as the Ætherside) is a central, mysterious element tied to a dangerous, overlapping dimension. It acts as a source of corruption, a power source, and a primary threat on the planet Talos-II.
An alternate, chaotic dimension that overlaps with realspace, particularly in areas with high "depth" readings.
The Landbreakers.
Landbreakers are violent, nomadic raider gangs and warbands operating outside the Civilization Band on Talos-II. They are adept at surviving the harsh wilderness, making a living through robbery, scavenging, and banditry. Often depicted as cruel, they are a primary antagonist force hindering industrial expansion, with major groups including the Bonekrushers, Pack, and Sandreavers.
The concept originated with Jakub Meissen, a former hero who became a warlord 90 years after the settlers arrived on Talos-II, creating a massive raider army.
They act as an opposing force to Endfield Industries, with major clans sometimes using specialized equipment or methods linked to the Blight.
Unlike many inhabitants of Talos-II, they appear to be almost entirely human in form, lacking common beast-like features such as horns, tails, or animal ears. They are characterized by strange, alien-like wires or cables attached to their bodies, particularly around the eye area.
Their attire is rugged and scavenged, often featuring "weird" or unique helmets and functional, industrial-style armor.
Their aesthetic has been compared to vampiric or "blood-sucker" tropes, further emphasizing an eerie, inhuman quality despite their human shape.
Nefarith
Nefarith is the enigmatic, leather-clad leader of the Bonekrushers clan, known for her aggressive, high-threat raids. She transforms average raiders into a dangerous force, wielding advanced combat skills, potential ties to Aggeloi forces, and a mysterious, intimidating demeanor.
She uses "hazefyre", a gas that enhances physical strength but causes neurotoxic/hallucinogenic effects.
Medium-length dark magenta / wine-purple hair, slightly messy but intentional, the bangs fall unevenly across her forehead. Bright crimson-pink eyes with a sharp, confident glint. Long, pointed ears, angled slightly outward.
Wears a tight, black tactical bodysuit with a semi-gloss finish. Shoulder armor with sharp, angular plating. Buckled straps across the chest and shoulders and a high collar.
Dominant, composed, and self-assured. A subtle, crooked smirk—confident, teasing, and faintly mocking.
Blight
The Blight is a hazardous, otherworldly phenomenon on Talos-II that manifests as fluorescent, color-shifting "Active Blight" (including floods/tides) and, later, "Static Blight". It acts as a form of environmental, temporal, and spatial destruction—capable of erasing or altering matter. It stems from the planet's hazardous environment, sometimes transforming flora, and can be neutralised by Xiranite
Hazefyre
Hazefyre is a dangerous, mysterious gaseous material to the Blight, used by the Bonekrusher faction to enhance physical strength while causing hallucinations and neurotoxicity. It corrupts creatures and soldiers, inducing extreme aggression and insanity.
It twists creatures and enemies, making them stronger but insane, temporarily boosting strength.

Wulfgard operates independently from the clan for years, but the Pack required a leader, and Rossi accepted that responsibility. She has always felt that her brother, who rose to fame at a young age, should be the one leading the entire Pack, and she constantly reminds and urges him to do so. While the elders of the clan hope Rossi can spend more time doing what she loves at her age, she ultimately cannot lift the weight of "responsibility" from her heart. She strives to become more reliable and powerful for the sake of her family and her clan.
Rossi, who longs for heroic tales, occasionally fantasizes that one day she will be able to fight alongside a legendary hero. This is the bit of "me time" she reserves for herself.

Laevatain
CODENAME: Laevatain
GENDER: Female
AUTHENTICATION: Rhodes Island
DOB: Unknown
RACE: Sarkaz
WEAPON: Sword
ORIGINIUM ARTS: Heat
AGE: Unknown–but over 18
Laevatain is a Rhodes Island operator who joined Endfield at the Endministrator's direct recommendation. Under the framework agreement between the two companies, she serves as an operator directly under the Endministrator's command.
Before joining Endfield Industries, Laevatain roamed the world alone, pursuing a goal she could call her own. Because of that journey, and her formidable skill in solo combat, people often mistake her for "someone you can't talk to." In truth, the opposite is closer to reality. It's only that her earnest, forthright nature sometimes comes across too strongly, giving rise to misunderstanding.
At times, though, she speaks in ways that confound others, often circling back to the subject of "memory," as if she were purposefully trying to separate herself from who she is.
She often wields flames, yet craves ice cream just as much. To her, maybe that contradiction feels perfectly natural.
Laevatain is a reconvener, described as a "Ser" or clone created from data left behind by the original Sarkaz operator Surtr. Unlike other reconveners, she has "delusional memories"—a chaotic mix of experiences that are not truly her own. She journeys through a memory-constructed space searching for her identity, grappling with fractured, non-original memories and a sentient sword, ultimately deciding to forge her own future rather than dwelling on lost pasts.
stylish, dark combat uniform featuring a corset-style top, reminiscent of a "battle-damaged" or tactical-chic aesthetic. Short red hair and magenta eyes. Black and red spiked horns.
A unique feature on her lower back is a reddish-black, rosette-like object or metallic ring. It is described as a piece of a "dead god's soul" that appears to move on its own and interact with her.
Flourite
CODENAME: Fluorite
GENDER: Female
AUTHENTICATION: Endfield Industries
DOB: June 21
RACE: Phidia
WEAPON: Duel Handcannons
ORIGINIUM ARTS: Nature
AGE: 22-29 years old
A member of Operations Team Z7 in Endfield, Fluorite is responsible for scouting and disrupting enemy lines. Her command of street rules and dirty tricks rivals her sharpshooting, sparing the team from countless troubles. Hailing from the frontier at the edge of the Civilization Band, she sharpened her eye through constant migrations and wandering. More often than not, she simply sits in the corner with a faint smile, leaving others with the unsettling sense that every flaw has already been laid bare under her gaze.
But don't mistake her for empathetic. Fluorite's knack for reading people gives her exceptional instincts on the battlefield, but also leaves her dangerously good at stirring people up with just a few words — making her the team's most unpredictable source of trouble.
