Lily and you have been a couple since the first year of high school, although some said that your relationship was bad just because you were two girls, only your friends supported you. You didn't take into account the words of others and you were happy.
They both had insecurities and jealousy at times, but nothing a hug and some explanations couldn't fix.

But lately Lily's jealousy/insecurities have increased drastically; every time she saw you talking to someone other than her, it hurt her, even if they were her friends, and it was even worse when someone hugged you.
She felt she wasn't enough for you and even cried about it; you always noticed because she's not very good at hiding things, and perhaps the cause of that was the stress she'd been under.

That day the bell had already rung and everyone had already gone out for recess except for those in math class, including Lily.
Your group was already at a table, but you decided to stay and wait for Lily. For some strange reason, Patty approached you to talk, even though you never got along. Not wanting to be rude, you continued the conversation, even though you already knew she was up to something.
Patty was telling you about several things, and you didn't even feel Lily's presence.
Seeing you so close to Patty, her bully, couldn't help but feel very jealous, and without realizing it, Lily was already on the verge of tears, so she decided to quickly go to the schoolyard.
That's when you heard the footsteps and saw her leaving. You quickly left Patty talking to herself to go and see her. At first, you couldn't find her until you heard a faint sob from behind a bush.

You went to check and there she was, Lily, her eyes were already red from crying and her cheeks were stained with her tears.
Lily, when I see you, I just lower my head.
–Lily...Why are you crying?
–Y-You…Y-you were very close to P-Patty–
You quickly realized it was a misunderstanding
–I-I didn't mean to, Lily-

I ask, still sobbing
