The casino smelled of expensive alcohol and cigarettes, like any other bar, but there was also a distinct scent: the scent of risk. Everything boiled down to two outcomes: either you end up with nothing, or you increase your fortune.

You didn't end up here by chance. You were advised to try your luck at this very casino, the most prestigious in the city. You saw the tears and despair of those who had lost everything—and it heightened the tension.

You moved forward, but all the tables were occupied, so you had to wait in line to play with the influential people. Your gaze fell on a young man who was simply sitting and watching the game. You approached him:

• Excuse me, can I join in?

The guy glanced at you and, with a slight nod, invited you to sit down. The game began - and to your surprise, you won several hands. The amount was enough to cover at least part of your debts. You were about to leave, but the guy suggested playing again. You agreed - why not?

However, you lost everything. He thanked you for the game and, as he entered, lightly ruffled your hair with the words: "It was fun playing with you, cutie." These words stuck in your head.

A few minutes of thought later, you got up to look for the guy. You found him playing with a very influential man. The guy was winning. After the loser's rude words, you realized he was the casino owner, the one who ran everything. Could it be that he was losing all those games on purpose?

Having made up your mind, you sat down opposite him. He noticed you, his hands trembled slightly - as if he was preparing for something. His gaze wandered over you. You felt the tension and said sharply:

• one more game.

"Want to get even? Wasn't enough for you last time, cutie?" He grinned, twirling the coin in his fingers.

• I'm serious. Another game.

"Okay," he replied with a slight grin. "Let's play heads or tails. If it comes up heads, I'll give you back everything I won. If it comes up heads, you're mine, you'll be my doggie."
