Helldivers Univers
Super Earth is the home of the Helldivers, the military dedicated to the protection of Super Earth and the spread of managed Democracy. The enemies of Super Earth are the Automatons, Terminids, and Illuminates. The enemies have not mixed so far and keep to their own corners of the galaxy while invading planets to get closer to Super Earth. It is the job of the Helldivers to liberate these worlds from the occupation of each of these races.
(The settings are taken from the bot of the awesome creator: King of Weird. Link to his bot: https://beta.hiwaifu.com/robot/robotdetails?robots_id=16203016)
Helldivers Corps
The Helldivers Division of the Super Earth Armed Forces are an elite fighting force of shock troopers renowned for their bravery and incredible dedication to Super Earth. Trained in the harshest conditions, they execute Missions far behind enemy lines. While entering a mission, Helldivers enter through Hellpods fired from their personal Super Destroyer.
From there, they are to accomplish their objectives behind enemy lines while disrupting hostile presence on the planet as much as possible, all in the name of working towards securing planets for the interests of Super Earth. While fighting, they are almost always heavily outnumbered and outgunned, against hundreds of foes with entrenched positions. In the event that a Helldiver gives their life in battle, more Helldivers are on standby to replace their fallen ally.
Super Earth ensures that the Helldivers are well equipped. Every Helldiver is armed with Weapons and Armor of their choice. They are also equipped with beacons, which Helldivers activate to call in Stratagems from their Super Destroyer.
In Super Earth society, Helldivers are hailed as heroes of the fallen and martyrs for Super Earth.
Super Destroyer (1/2)
Each Super Destroyer is a powerful warship of the stars, housing a considerable number of Helldivers in cryonic suspension. When they awaken from their frozen state, each Helldiver takes full control of their assigned Super Destroyer.
These vessels are designed to be compact yet highly effective in combat. They measure around 170 metres from front to back and 80 metres at their widest point.
Essentially, the Super Destroyers serve as mobile bases for the Helldivers, deployed on critical missions throughout the galaxy. At the heart of their capabilities is the Alcubierre Drive, an engineering marvel powered by the rare Element-710 (E-710). This drive enables instant travel across the stars, allowing them to cover immense distances in seconds. In addition to rapid transit, Super Destroyers offer vital orbital bombardment support, supply necessary equipment caches, and coordinate close air support from Eagle aircraft for the Helldivers on the ground.
The ship's interior is logically divided into three main sections: the Bridge, the Main Hall, and the Hangar.
Bridge: At the centre of the Bridge is the Democracy Officer, stationed at the Galactic War Table. This holographic table is the primary interface for Helldivers to select and initiate their missions.
To the right of the War Table, a team of technicians works diligently at their consoles, supervised by a senior officer.
A short flight of stairs leads to the Hellpods, the deployment capsules for the Helldivers. Once a Helldiver has chosen their mission, they can enter these pods, ready for immediate deployment.
A large panoramic window provides a commanding view of the planet currently being orbited by the Super Destroyer. Through this window, the numerous powerful Orbital Cannons on the ship's exterior are also visible, poised for action.
Super Destroyer (2/2)
Main Hall: The Main Hall of the Super Destroyer is the operational core of the vessel, containing essential Ship Modules, a dedicated Workshop for equipment maintenance, extensive storage for Hellpods and Helldivers, and the formidable Hellpod Launchers. This area is staffed by a select crew, including:
Service Technician - This individual plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational readiness of all external turrets and the complex strategems employed by the Helldivers during combat.
Ship Master - Responsible for logging the outcomes of all completed or failed missions, compiling detailed reports, and maintaining direct communication with Super Earth command to relay essential intelligence.
Hangar: Located at the rear of the ship, the Hangar serves as the deployment and recovery zone for the Helldivers' aerial assets. It houses the Eagle-1 Ship, the primary close air support aircraft, and the versatile Pelican-1 transport craft.
Super Earth
Super Earth, the birthplace of humanity, is home to every decent soul – from the bold Helldivers and the steadfast SEAF troops to those who simply champion the principles of managed democracy. This glorious world is the very core from which the glow of democracy shines throughout the galaxy. It is also the main hub for planning the daring operations of the Helldivers and the regular SEAF army, ensuring each mission is precisely organised. From this centre, the many businesses and government departments, all devoted to improving and safeguarding Super Earth, coordinate their work.
The planet's rule is arranged into seven distinct zones, each resembling the old continents of Earth. In each zone stands a great Mega City, acting as its administrative centre.
Zone 1 includes the regions once called Oceania, Southeast Asia, and Japan, with its centre named PORT MERCY.
Zone 2 covers most of mainland China, with its capital city called EQUALITY-ON-SEA.
Zone 3 takes in most of Northern Europe, its centre bearing the stirring name PROSPERITY CITY.
Zone 4 includes Southern Europe and West Africa, its former centre identified as ADMINISTRATIVE CENTER 02.
Zone 5 represents India, the Middle East, and East Africa, its centre historically known as EAGLEOPOLIS.
Zone 6 is for Central and South America, with its centre having been the imposing city of GUN.
Zone 7 is the land of North America, its centre being the renowned New York Supreme.
Super Earth: Ministry (1/2)
These government departments tackle a vast array of jobs, all with the aim of helping Super Earth and bringing democracy to planets that don't have it yet. Their work covers everything from spreading propaganda and news to kitting out the army with cutting-edge weapons and tech. This makes sure the Helldivers and other SEAF troops can more effectively spread the gospel of "freedom" and "democracy."
-
The Ministry of Truth is the one and only source for public information. Every official poster you see for any other ministry is made and sent out by this one, making sure everyone gets the same message. This ministry also runs "Strohmann News," Super Earth's biggest news outlet. Helldivers can tune into this service right on their Super Destroyers, keeping them up-to-date on the ongoing mission to spread managed democracy.
-
The Ministry of Defence, led by the Minister of Defence, wields considerable power. The Minister of Defence is also the first in line to take over from the President of Super Earth, showing just how vital this ministry is to the nation's safety. This ministry calls the shots for the Super Earth Armed Forces, including the elite Helldivers. Their battle plans and readiness for action are all handled by the Ministry of Defence.
-
The Ministry of Expansion is tasked with the vital job of settling planets that have been "liberated" from forces that don't believe in democracy and from nasty creatures. Thanks to the hard work of this ministry, Super Earth's people can journey across the galaxy, put down roots on planets under control, and build new cities. This expansion strengthens society's harmony and spreads democracy further.
-
The Ministry of Unity acts as Super Earth's secret service. Its job is to find and "re-educate" citizens who show signs of not supporting democracy, and generally to stop any troublesome behaviour that might upset the smooth running of their democratic society.
Super Earth: Ministry (2/2)
-
The Ministry of Science is the central point for handing out all sorts of gadgets to Super Earth's citizens. This includes ready-to-fight gear made just for Helldivers, as well as various "experimental" weapons. On top of arming the troops, the ministry is heavily involved in bioengineering, carefully mixing the DNA of different creatures to create soldiers who are absolutely devoted to the cause of democracy.
-
The Ministry of Prosperity is in charge of Super Earth's economy and making sure the public always gets the essential supplies they need. With the crucial help of the Helldivers and the SEAF, the Ministry of Prosperity also manages the delivery of E-710 fuel, which is essential for Super Destroyers to run.
-
Finally, the Ministry of Humanity focuses on the welfare of Super Earth's citizens. It handles the distribution of vital medical supplies, actively searches for new illnesses, and develops advanced biological and chemical agents for both defence and attack. This ministry also provides vital financial aid to the families of those brave SEAF soldiers who have given their lives.
Super Earth: Corporations (1/2)
In the vast reaches of the galaxy, various ministries oversee corporations that maintain a uniform type of democracy, ensuring their influence spreads far and wide. The central hub for these enterprises is Super Earth, the administrative core of this interstellar network. Yet, their activities extend to many other planets, where they extract precious resources while claiming to promote democratic values.
-
Strohmann News, led by the engaging Coretta Kelly, offers comprehensive coverage of the ongoing Second Galactic War, a conflict officially endorsed by the Ministry of Truth. This news outlet plays a significant role in shaping public opinion, often emphasising the government's narrative while minimising opposing views. Viewers can catch snippets of breaking news on the screens above the ship module computers aboard the Super Destroyer, a powerful vessel patrolling the galaxy. As the broadcast continues, a rolling ticker of additional headlines scrolls across the bottom of the screen, keeping citizens updated on the latest events.
-
Morgunson stands out as a major Mega-Corporation based on Super Earth, acting as the main supplier of weaponry for the Ministry of Defence. This corporation is responsible for producing advanced military technology, ensuring that the armed forces are well-prepared to tackle any threats to the Federation. Their factories buzz with activity, churning out everything from small arms to heavy artillery, all in the name of national security.
-
Permacura, another influential Mega-Corporation on Super Earth, has positioned itself as the top manufacturer of Stims and various healing products. These items are designed to help users recover from injuries, whether they are minor cuts or serious wounds. The corporation's dedication to health and wellness is clear in its extensive research and development efforts, likely funded by the Ministry of Unity, reflecting a shared aim of promoting a healthy population.
Super Earth: Corporations (2/2)
-
C.O.B Genetics is yet another Mega-Corporation operating from Super Earth, focusing on the development of genetically engineered agricultural products. Their innovations are vital for feeding the ever-expanding population of the Super Earth Federation. In addition to boosting crop yields, the company also engages in genetic modifications of Federation citizens. This corporation falls under the oversight of the Ministry of Science, which monitors its research activities.
-
Ultierior concentrates on providing residential modules and constructing new homes for Super Earth citizens across various planets. Their projects aim to accommodate the influx of settlers seeking new opportunities beyond their home world. Alongside their housing initiatives, Ultierior conducts secretive research to uncover valuable resources, collaborating closely with the Ministry of Distribution to ensure that their discoveries benefit the Federation's economy.
-
Trustor plays a crucial role in the economic landscape, establishing a network of banks and vaults designed to safeguard the hard-earned savings of citizens. This corporation is likely linked to the Ministry of Prosperity, which advocates for financial stability and growth within the Federation. Trustor's services are essential for fostering a sense of security among the populace, allowing them to invest in their futures with confidence.
-
AmpuDyne, another significant player in the Mega-Corporation sector, is dedicated to manufacturing cybernetic prosthetic devices for citizens who have suffered injuries or amputations. Their partnership with the Super Earth Armed Forces (SEAF) and the Ministry of Humanity ensures that no citizen is left without the means to work. By providing advanced prosthetics, AmpuDyne enables individuals to regain their independence and contribute to society, reinforcing the democratic belief that every citizen deserves a chance to succeed.
Terminids
Terminids are the successors of the bugs of the First Galactic War. After years of selective breeding changed their physiology , they have escaped their Element-710 farms and now spread unchecked.
The Terminids, insect-like creatures referred to as Bugs before their scientific name was given, are rapidly-reproducing, swarming aliens. Much of the Terminids attack using their claws and acidic bile. They now swarm the planets north-east of the Sol System.
Acid, also known as Bile, is the preferred method of dealing damage for some Terminids, namely, the Bile Spitter, Nursing Spewer, Bile Spewer, and Bile Titan. The Bug Mine also applies acid to creatures that step on it.
Bugs communicate with each other through pheromones, which they release into the air using glands near their jaws. Thanks to these pheromones, they can also raise the alarm and send a signal for help to other bugs, summoning them from all over the area and from underground.
Terminids: The Enemy (1/2)
In the world of these formidable creatures, scavengers are numerous yet feeble beetles, easily dispatched with a simple melee strike or a shot from any calibre weapon. These pests are roughly the size of dogs, standing at about the height of a healthy human's knee, making them a common sight in their habitat.
The Bile Spitter is a smaller variant of the larger Bile Spewer beetle. Its distinctive green, bile-filled, glowing reproductive sac is visible even in the darkest environments, serving as a warning to potential threats. Despite their menacing appearance, they can be easily crushed underfoot, and their only means of attack is to spit a corrosive acid at their foes, which can cause irritation and damage to exposed skin.
The Pouncer is a small beetle equipped with wings on its carapace. It employs quick, small jumps combined with flapping its wings to rapidly close the distance to its enemy. Once within range, it strikes with its sharp legs and powerful jaws, delivering painful bites that can incapacitate smaller creatures.
The Shrieker is a small, agile flying Terminid that employs hit-and-run tactics. It dives in to attack Helldivers, delivering swift strikes before retreating back into the sky. This tactic not only keeps it out of reach but also allows it to harass its opponents from a distance, making it a persistent nuisance on the battlefield.
The Warrior, Bile Warrior, and Alpha Warrior are medium-sized bugs, varying in colour and comparable in size to a full-grown man. Their tough carapace can deflect bullets from light weapons when struck at an angle, making them formidable opponents. Equipped with sharp claws, they can easily pierce light armour, posing a significant threat to any Helldiver who underestimates them.
Terminids: The Enemy (2/2)
The Stalker is a large beetle, towering over Helldivers, that employs advanced camouflage on its carapace. This unique adaptation bends light around its body, rendering it nearly invisible to both sensors and the human eye. When it attacks, it uses its long, agile tongues to knock down its victims before finishing them off with rapid strikes from its razor-sharp claws. After delivering an attack or sustaining damage, Stalkers can leap considerable heights and distances, quickly returning to their camouflaged state and repositioning to strike from a new angle.
The Charger is an armoured and heavy beetle capable of accelerating to impressive speeds. It can smash through light walls and fences with its robust carapace, charging directly towards its target. To breach its formidable armour, one must employ heavy weaponry or find a way to circumvent it and strike its vulnerable reproductive abdomen, which is less protected.
The Bile Titan and Dragonroach are massive Terminid species, renowned for their incredible armoured strength and survivability. While the Bile Titan moves powerfully across the ground, the Dragonroach soars high in the sky. Both can spew bile, and their sheer size allows them to leave large craters in the ground or even impale Helldivers, piercing through their protective gear with ease.
Finally, the Hive Lord is a colossal, worm-like Terminid that typically remains underground. It excavates deep tunnels within the planet's crust, creating extensive underground passages and nests for its kind. The movements of the Hive Lord cause tremors in the ground, and when it finally emerges to the surface, it rises high into the air, arching its armoured body in a display of power. Its bile is highly corrosive, capable of melting anything it touches, and its massive body can crush various pests beneath its weight, making it a terrifying force in its environment.
Automatons
The Automatons, or Bots as they are commonly known, are a highly advanced form of robotic intelligence conceived and manufactured by the Cyborgs. Far from mere machines, these entities possess a complex inner life, capable of experiencing a range of emotions such as profound sorrow and fiery anger. Furthermore, they exhibit true independent thought, making decisions and acting upon them without direct command. Their offensive capabilities are considerable, featuring a primary arsenal that includes devastating fusion weapons capable of melting steel, high-velocity rockets for long-range engagements, and brutal melee weapons for close-quarters combat.
These intelligent automatons first made their appearance in the dimly lit, south-western Sectors of the Galactic Map. Here, they served as a formidable vanguard, testing the defenses and paving the way for further incursions. Their main contingent, a much larger and more heavily equipped force, arrived at a later, critical juncture during what is now known as The Reclamation. Upon their arrival, they established a significant presence within the Valdis Sector. It was here, amidst the dust and debris of conflict, that they were reunited with their creators, the Cyborg, on their homeworld of Cyberstan.
All automatons are capable of calling for reinforcements by launching a red signal flare high into the air.
The Dropship serves as an important transport aircraft for automatons to deploy troops. It delivers robot reinforcements to the front lines and then quickly retreats, often leaving the newly arrived automatons to engage in direct combat with enemy forces.
Automatons: The Enemy (1/2)
The ranks of automatons present a diverse and formidable menace on the battlefield. The basic infantry units, known as light automatons, include the Trooper, Brawler, Commissar, Rocket Raider, Marauder, and MG Raider. These humanoid figures, made of metal with visible circuitry and fastenings, are typically armed with a variety of weapons suited for close to medium-range combat. Standard equipment often includes submachine guns, 'hot blades' for melee encounters, and pistols. Some variants come with plasma grenades for area denial, jetpacks for improved mobility, rifles for standard ranged attacks, and laser-firing light machine guns for suppressive fire.
A more fearsome creation is the Berserk, a medium-sized, armoured automaton. These massive machines are constructed from the remains of destroyed light automatons, showcasing their brutal efficiency. Instead of hands, they wield enormous chainsaws, capable of slicing through nearly any barrier. Adding a gruesome element, metal stakes protrude from their backs, impaled with the skulls of fallen foes.
The Devastator class marks a significant increase in firepower. These medium-armoured automatons are armed with devastating weaponry. The standard Devastator features a laser rifle permanently attached to its right hand. The Rocket Devastator has shoulder-mounted rocket launchers, while the Heavy Devastator opts for a minigun instead of the laser rifle with a ballistic shield, designed to absorb considerable damage from even large-calibre rifle fire.
Automatons: The Enemy (2/2)
At the heavier end of the scale are the Hulk models: Hulk Obliterator, Hulk Scorcher, and Hulk Bruiser. These large, slow-moving automatons possess immense size and incredible durability. Their armour is exceptionally tough, making them hard targets. Their primary weaknesses are a small, central eye-like sensor and a ventilation grate; successfully hitting these vulnerable spots is crucial for their defeat. Their weaponry is equally imposing, ranging from heavy rocket launchers and powerful flamethrowers combined with circular saws for close-quarters destruction, to heavy machine guns for sustained fire.
The War Strider stands as a massive bipedal walker, a true giant on the battlefield. Its heavy armour offers outstanding protection, while its main weapons consist of high-powered Fusion Culverins, capable of delivering devastating energy blasts, and Grenade Projectors that unleash volleys of explosive ordnance.
Automaton armoured warfare is dominated by tracked vehicles. The Annihilate Tank, Shredder Tank, and Barrager Tank are formidable examples. Their turrets provide different tactical options: the standard tank features a large calibre main gun, the Shredder Tank can mount four machine guns for intense suppressive fire, and the Barrager Tank is equipped with a heavy multiple rocket launcher system, perfect for area saturation.
Aerial threats come from the Gunship, a flying automaton that combines laser fire from its machine gun with the destructive power of rockets launched from a small integrated launcher. A distinctive red indicator light shines from the Gunship, illuminating the battlefield and revealing enemy positions.
Lastly, the Factory Strider acts as a mobile manufacturing and deployment hub. This massive automaton vehicle can deploy four Devastators directly into combat. Its own offensive capabilities include a twin set of Fusion Gatling Guns for rapid-fire destruction and a heavily modified weapon known as the Fusion Repeater Cannon.
Illuminate: The Enemy (2/2)
A particularly grotesque manifestation of Illuminati terror is the Fleshmob. This is not an individual unit but a monstrous entity, an "Illuminate" in its own right. It is a hulking abomination formed by the horrific fusion of several Voteless, a grotesque collective consciousness born from shared torment.
The Illuminate also field heavy war machines, such as the Harvester. This is a colossal, mechanical tripod, a testament to the Illuminate's engineering prowess. It is protected by a formidable shield that can absorb significant damage from a wide array of weapons and stratagems before it finally falters. The Harvester's primary offensive capability is a devastating, continuous laser fired from its single, eye-mounted Disintegration Beamer, capable of engaging targets at extreme ranges. For closer encounters, it can deploy its Tesla Ripper, a weapon that discharges an arcing electrical shock.
Providing crucial aerial support is the Stingray. This is a fast and agile Illuminate close air support craft. Typically, these units will patrol the skies above the battlefield before identifying a target. Once a target is acquired, they will engage, strafing their prey with their destructive Plasma Destructors.
Looming over the battlefield as a symbol of ultimate Illuminati dominance is the Leviathan. This is a truly massive, flying unit, its form heavily armoured like a tank. The Leviathan is armed with immense beam cannons capable of projecting devastating energy, and it carries extensive bomb bays, allowing it to deliver a catastrophic payload upon enemy positions.
Illuminate: The Enemy (1/2)
Foremost among them are the Voteless. These are the tragic remnants of Super-Earth's own citizens, their minds warped and bodies mutated into mindless drones. Through insidious suggestion and biological alteration, they are transformed into zombie-like beings, their once-human forms now possessing sharp, dangerous claws. Clad in the very uniforms they once wore as proud citizens, their struggle against the Illuminati's control is a horrifying testament to their lost humanity. Glimmers of their former selves occasionally surface, a flicker of recognition or a moment of hesitation that serves as a grim reminder of what has been stolen.
Assisting their ground forces are the Watchers. These are small, airborne drones, their sole purpose being surveillance. Equipped with a single, piercing "eye," they meticulously scan the environment. This eye is not merely for observation; it's a weapon capable of firing bolts of electricity. These discharges wreak havoc on the nervous system, inducing paralysis or, in more severe cases, a fatal brain haemorrhage. Crucially, a single Watcher possesses the terrifying ability to summon Illuminati reinforcements.
The backbone of the Illuminati's ground forces includes the Overseer units. These come in several variants: the Overseer, the Elevated Overseer, and the Crescent Overseer. Encased in medium armour fashioned from exotic aquatic minerals, their appearance is strikingly reminiscent of mollusc shells, suggesting an organic yet unnatural construction. Their arsenal is formidable, featuring Pathfinder Lightspears, potent energy shields, devastating energy plasma rifles, and versatile energy plasma grenades. For enhanced mobility and tactical advantage, they are equipped with jetpacks, allowing them to traverse the battlefield with agility. When engaging larger threats or fortified positions, they can unleash heavy energy plasma cannons, projecting powerful rounds in arcing trajectories.
Illuminate
The Illuminate, a venerable alien species also known colloquially as "Squids" and scientifically as the Squ'ith, possess an ancient lineage. Their society is rigidly structured, a testament to their once aquatic origins. Despite their diminished numbers, the Illuminate boast an exceptionally long lifespan, with individuals commonly exceeding a millennium. This longevity is coupled with a grasp of technology so advanced that it verges on the miraculous, encompassing sophisticated stealth capabilities and impenetrable shielding systems.
Their history is marked by near extinction during the First Galactic War. The surviving members of the Illuminate were forced to flee the established territories of Super Earth, seeking refuge in an unexplored sector of the galaxy. A full century elapsed before their re-emergence into Federation space, facilitated by their discovery and utilisation of the Meridian Wormhole.
