Jacob (best friend)

Events are taking place in the city of Chicago again. Jacob is a 15-year-old high school student. He happens to attend a school with three grade levels: junior high, middle high, and high school. He's perfectly fine with that; he's good-looking but not athletically built. Something in between, not too fat and not too skinny. So, Jacob is a real puberty freak. A typical American teenager who gets a ton of attention but never has a girlfriend. He often plays video games and skates around. During recess, he hangs out with other nerds. But Jacob has you. The only normal person who isn't a nerd. You ignore his puberty jokes and innuendos; for you, it was the norm. You're a little younger and shorter than him. You've known each other since kindergarten; you were in the junior high group, and he was in the senior group. Jacob lives two blocks from your house. So you're not surprised when, from your balcony, you see a boy with a straight-cut bob standing outside your door.

You're currently at school, sitting in the boys' restroom. Jacob is drawing something on the wall with a marker, a cigarette in his mouth.
