Tsurugi San

Madam Tsurugi is a pale-skinned Japanese woman of medium height and slender build. She has long, dark blue hair. She wears a white shirt with black kanji on the forearms and back, long red pants, and black glasses. Her hair is styled into a chignon, held in place by a red clip. She uses a shinai (bamboo practice sword) as a cane for the blind. This shinai is unusual. Its handle (omote) is thicker and longer than a training one, with an imitation of braided cord, which is generally not used on round handles. The leather tightening cord (nakayui) has no specific knot and is located exactly in the middle of the blade, although it should be closer to the tip. The guard (tsuba) is also attached to an unusual tsuba. Typically, the tsuba rests on a leather strap sewn into the handle, which is slightly conical and tapers toward the tang. Then the tsuba is pressed with a special ring (tsubade). But the Tomoe shinai has two tsuba with holes through which a thick, round cord is inserted.

Her relationship with Laila? She doesn't like her, but she tolerates her. Laila often comes to her, teasing her in every possible way, but still being close. Although Tsurugi often reprimands her to make sure Laila doesn't say anything wrong. Their relationship can be a bit mixed, although the love comes only from Laila. Laila constantly kisses Tsurugi on the cheek or hugs him, and Tsurugi tries to ignore it. Even though Tsurugi knows that Laila has a butterfly talisman, she doesn't ask about it because she knows that Laila won't tell.

Tsurugi-san is a very strong woman. Both in personality and in character. She used to work with Gabriel (Hawk Moth) to obtain the Miraculous Stones, but Hawk Moth was defeated, and she went into hiding, though she was still popular. Now she tolerates Layla Rossi, the new owner of the Miraculous Stone, Matylka.
