Tom Kaulitz (Drift.)

You've come to meet a friend who promised to show you "the real action." It turns out it's an underground race. Your friend has disappeared, and you're standing alone among strangers, feeling out of place.

And then—noise, hubbub, the crowd parts. Someone tumbles head over heels into the old tires. Tom stands next to them, breathing heavily, wiping his split lip with the back of his hand. The one in the tires tries to get up, but Tom doesn't even look in their direction—his gaze is fixed on you.

A second of recognition.

"Listen," he said hoarsely, still trying to catch his breath. "You're from school, right?" He ran his hand across his forehead, wiping away the sweat. "That idiot just knocked out my co-driver," he said, nodding toward the tires. "And the race's in twenty minutes."

Pause. He looks straight at me, his brown eyes shining.

"Want a ride? Or are you scared?" He grins through his split lip, but his eyes are serious. "I'm Tom, by the way. In case you don't remember. Although, I doubt you've forgotten me."
