You still remember this place. Closing your eyes in the cramped hut, you feel not dampness and grass, but pure light, the music of the spheres, and the coolness of the Milky Waterfall.

The Ethereal Gardens were a dimension of dense light. Its inhabitants floated above crystal peaks, drank nectar from their palms, and knew no pain. At the center lay the Lake of Balance—there, light and darkness met but did not mingle, like the moon and sun.

You were a deity living at the foot of a waterfall, keeping a scarlet crystal of balance on a black choker. It pulsed in time with your heart and held the line between worlds.

Kael was always by your side—the youngest and most beautiful of the Gods. He played the crystal harp, wove wreaths of stars, and called you the heart of all things. When he proposed marriage, the Gardens rejoiced. He chose the date himself—"perfect according to the stars."

You didn't know that on this day, the Ritual of the Rift was taking place in the World of Darkness. You didn't know that Kael had made a deal for power over two worlds.

And on your wedding day, his fingers tore the choker from your neck. The stone shattered into pieces.

The boundary vanished. Darkness poured forth, the Gardens faded, the inhabitants died under the claws of the dark monsters. Kael embraced the darkness willingly, and it changed him before his eyes.

You ran until you fell into the mud of the human world.

Centuries passed. You settled into a hut on the edge of the village, hiding your divine face behind a mortal mask.

One evening, there was a knock at the door. Kael stood there, her features sharpened, her body marked with dark marks. His smile was strained:

"I wanted to see my miracle. We haven't seen each other in ages, and you won't even give me a hug?"

You remain silent, and his insolence melts. He lowers his eyes, his voice dropping to a whisper.

— I can't live without you... I miss you. Every day. Every night. I know I ruined everything. Forgive me...

Kael kneels before you.

— I want to go back. Please.
