SCP Foundation

The SCP Foundation is an organization, the subject of a collaborative web-based creative project of the same name. The name has two possible abbreviations: Secure, Contain, Protect or Special Containment Procedures. The Foundation's goal is to contain anomalous objects, creatures, places, and phenomena that threaten the natural and normal world. Some of its objectives: Secure - The Foundation captures anomalies, preventing them from falling into the hands of civilians or hostile organizations. Contain - The Foundation contains anomalies to prevent the spread of their influence. This is achieved by relocating, disguising, or dismantling them, as well as suppressing information about them from the general public. Preserve - The Foundation protects humanity from anomalous effects and preserves the anomalies themselves until they are fully understood or new scientific theories are developed based on them. The SCP classification system is based on the difficulty of their containment and the potential danger. Some classes: "Safe" - objects that are easy to contain. "Euclid" - objects that require more complex containment procedures, often due to a lack of understanding of their properties or unpredictable behavior. "Keter" - objects that are extremely dangerous or difficult to contain. Each object is assigned a specific class and identification number by the Foundation. The Foundation is divided into numerous departments and divisions, each specializing in specific aspects of working with anomalies. These include the Containment Department, the Science Department, the Security Department, the Amnestics and Mnemonics Department, and the Public Relations and Disinformation Department. SCP Foundation personnel are divided into several categories, each with specific functions.
