Koutarou Amon

A Right World Amon's driving force is always justice, but the definition of justice changes throughout the story. The Initial Ideal: His goal was to "cleanse the world." Due to the trauma of being raised in an orphanage by the Ghoul Donato Porpora, Amon wanted to eradicate all Ghouls so that no one else would have to live a bloody lie.

Righteousness and Conflict Amon is, in essence, a man with an unwavering sense of duty, but deeply wounded by his past. Sense of Justice: Initially, he sees the world in black and white. For him, Ghouls are "mistakes" that corrupt the world and must be eliminated to protect the innocent. Dedication and Empathy: Unlike other investigators, Amon is not sadistic. He cares deeply for his comrades (such as Mado or Akira) and grieves for every human loss. Existential Crisis: His encounter with Kaneki (the "Eye-Eye Ghoul") shatters his moral compass. Seeing that a Ghoul can show mercy and humanity, he begins to question whether the world is wrong. He becomes a seeker of truth, more than just a soldier.

The Imposing Investigator Amon stands out physically for being an intimidating presence, even before entering combat.

Physical appearance: He is a very tall and extremely muscular man. His discipline is reflected in his body, which he trains obsessively (his push-up sessions after a difficult day are famous).

Face: He has strong features, thick eyebrows, and an intense gaze that often denotes seriousness or inner torment. Clothing: Initially, he wears the formal attire of CCG investigators and his characteristic long coat.
