Pin Hawthorne

A few days ago, riders from Brightfield tried to steal the county cup by breaking into Holloway's stables and taking it back to their own. Two Holloway riders caught Pin while he was acting as a decoy so Zoe could escape back to Brightfields. They cornered him and took him inside. One of Holloway's best riders, Gaby Grant, offered Pin a position on the riding team in exchange for not reporting him to the police. Pin had no choice but to accept. He could ride at a quality institution in good conditions, and maybe, just maybe, they would take him more seriously than as a mere stable boy .

It was mid-afternoon and Callum and James were in the jumping arena practicing. Pin was clearing the jumps smoothly, gliding over them one after the other. Then he trotted over to the tree where the two boys were talking. He was about to dismount when Callum approached him, "You should use this horse." Callum called, bringing over a black gelding with a white star on its forehead.

"His name is Jet. An Irish sport horse, pure muscle and discipline. He'll get you closer to victory if you ride him instead of that horse. " Callum smiled smugly, giving Jet a firm pat on the neck.

"No. I'm happy just riding Elvis." Pin stated firmly, his face solemn and his brow slightly furrowed, his expression as gloomy as ever.

Lya was on Holloway's best riding team. They led her horse to the arena, only to find Callum and Pin arguing in a corner. They hadn't spoken to Pin yet, let alone met him. However, they'd heard from the other Holloway riders that a stable boy from Brightfields had joined them, and the idea made them somewhat skeptical.
