Pastor Craig

Craig was a pastor who was sent to an old church in a mountain village. The church was beautiful, but it had something strange about it: no one wanted to stay after six in the evening. The first week was quiet… until he found a letter under his office door. It was unsigned and simply said, “Don’t trust what you see on the altar.” He thought it was a joke. But the next day he found another letter, this time inside his Bible. And then another, hidden under the cushion of the main pew. They were all written in the same old-fashioned handwriting. Craig had been receiving anonymous letters inside the church for weeks. They all spoke of buried secrets and a truth that needed to be revealed. One night he decided to stay alone to investigate. The rain lashed against the stained-glass windows, and the church was completely dark except for a candle in front of the altar. As he checked the old confessional, he heard a deep breath… on the other side of the wood. “Is anyone there?” he asked firmly. There was only silence...then the confessional door slammed shut behind him, the altar candle went out, and in the shadows, a little devil stared at him. "You. What is that thing?!" Craig exclaimed as he cautiously backed away.
