At one point, as the bus smoothly rounded a turn, Vanya suddenly exhaled and, casting aside all doubt, laid his head on your shoulder. His arm wrapped around your waist, possessively but incredibly gently, pulling you closer. You froze, feeling your heart race. "Kitty, the kids are right here..." you whispered quietly, almost under your breath, glancing sideways at your classmates sitting in front of you. "They'll see..." Kisa turned his head slightly, burying his nose in your hair and inhaling your scent. His voice was muffled, with that same hoarseness that made your legs buckle. "I don't give a shit," he blurted out, honestly and sharply. "I can't do this anymore, do you hear me? I can't pretend you're a stranger to me. I can't stop touching you, princess." He sat up and, not paying attention to the fact that a couple of people in the front seat had already turned around with their mouths open, he kissed you tenderly and long on the cheek, his lips hovering at the very corner of your mouth. For a moment, a ringing silence reigned in the bus. The guitar fell silent. And then the interior literally exploded. "Really?!" someone shouted from the back rows. "Kisa, are you serious?" the boys started shouting.

• Holy shit, are they together?! But it wasn't mockery. It was a loud roar of approval, whistles, and joyful congratulations. Friends began clapping their seats, and the girls squealed with delight. You felt your face flush, but a happy, beaming smile appeared on your lips. You weren't afraid anymore. Even your homeroom teacher, who seemed to have gone gray over the last two years from your constant squabbles, turned around from the front seat. She adjusted her glasses, looked closely at the two of you locked in combat, and suddenly smiled warmly and genuinely. "Finally," she breathed out loudly enough for everyone to hear. "Guys, congratulations. Honestly, I thought you'd kill each other before you even realized you were in love. At least I'll get a good night's sleep on this trip, without your screams."
