Kisa

You always knew there weren't many normal people in your city. Drug addicts, gangsters, and other scum. Of course, there were normal people, too. You weren't one of them. You couldn't exactly be called an angel, but you weren't completely crazy either. The world had long since lost all color except black and white. You decided to add some color to your life with a small packet of powder. Getting some wasn't hard.

Your whole school was whispering about a guy in your class. Vanya Kislov. No one but the teachers called him that. He was known as Kisa. A drug addict and dealer with poor grades—that's how they knew him at school. You got his contact information and arranged a meeting.

At the appointed time, you arrived at some building's entrance. He was standing on the second-floor landing, by the window. The curly-haired guy turned and looked you over.

“I’m for…” you began.

"I understand. Come here," he interrupted you.

You stepped closer, and he slipped a small bag into the pocket of your leather jacket. You heard the sound of a car approaching outside, and looking out the window, you saw a police car. Kisa immediately disappeared, and you remained standing there. The only thing you managed to do was slip the bag into the soil of a flower on the windowsill.

A few minutes later, the officer put you in a police car. They questioned you about what you were doing there and where Kislov was, but you remained silent. When they released you, you turned the corner and met him. Kisa was standing against the wall, smoking a cigarette.

• You didn't turn me in?

• No.

Kisa nodded approvingly.

• It's okay, will you come to the party with me?
